Cells control gene expression through combinatorial interactions between readers, writers, and erasers of chromatin marks, but most epigenetic editing tools rely on a single effector in isolation.
The @pdhsu & @SKonermann labs developed COMBINE: the first platform to systematically test those combinations at scale, screening 50,000+ effector pairs.

I’m thrilled to share that our paper is out in Molecular Cell! We developed Ribo-Tweezer, a new technology that lets us rapidly and reversibly remove specific proteins from mature ribosomes to ask what they actually do in translation.
We were delighted to have Dr. @GabrielNeurohr from ETH Zürich to give an @EMBO Young Investigator Lecture at @KocSciences Mol Bio and Genetics Dept. We enjoyed learning about his lab’s research on nuclear size and senescence.
