Increased religious and ethnic targeting reported in Arsi Zone, Oromo Region, Ethiopia. On October 24, 2025, 14 people were killed in Guna Woreda, Nono Jawi Kebele, targeted as Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Christians and mostly ethnic Amharas.

Attackers, reported as “unknown groups,” may include Oromo Liberation Front (OLF), Oromo Liberation Army (OLA), Shanee, Islamic OLF factions (e.g., IFLO), or local militias (list generated based on history of identity based attacks in the area in the past). Updates pending.

Mahbere Kidusan (a congregation based EOTC group) reports 115 deaths in Arsi Zone since September 12, 2023, with 27 in October 2025. Of 37 Orthodox churches, 16 are closed, 3 looted.

Archbishop Yared, overseeing Arsi Zone, allegedly suppressed incident reporting, hindering rescue efforts and implicating EOTC leadership in covering up crimes. The EOTC’s silence on attacks against Amharas and Orthodox Christians risks complicity in genocide.

GPE urges global Orthodox churches to pressure the EOTC Synod to protect its congregation and avoid funding through EOTC channels, as some bishops cover up crimes. Systemic genocide in Ethiopia involves co-opting religious and civic institutions to conceal ongoing atrocities.

1ኛ፤ አብዛኛው የህዝብ ሰቆቃና ምሬትን "በቃ"፤ "በዛ" አቆመዋለሁ ብሎ የወጣ ታጋይ፤ በሆነ ግዜ ትክክል እንደንበረ፤ በትግል ሂደት በተፈጠሩ ውስብስብ ነገሮች ግን ሁሉም የሆነ ቦታ ላይ ወይም የሆነ ግዜ ላይ ከአቅም በላይ በሆነ ሁኔታ፤ ከሁለት ክፉ፤ ያነሰውን ለመምረጥ ሲያስብ፤ ስቶ ሊያቅ እንደሚችል በማመን፡ ሌጋሲ ለማበላሸት ሳይሆን ትግል በማያበላሽ ሁኔታ፤ ችግሩን ለመፍታት ያህል ሚኒማል የምትሉትን ያህል በመናገር፤ መንገዱን እንድትጠርጉ ነው። በዚህ ሂደት የትኛውንም መሪ፤ የትኛውንም ቡድን፤ ከሃቅ ባለፈ ላትተቹ፤ ከሃቅ ባነሰ ላታሞግሱ ፤ ቆርጣችሁ መሆን አለበት።

2ኛ፤ ይህ የመጨረሻው መጀመሪያ እንደመሆኑ፤ አማራ አንድ ሆነም አልሆነ፤ ሊቆሙ የማይችሉ በጠቅላላ በቀጠናው አካባቢ በተፈጠሩ ኹነቶች እንዲሁም በአለም ሁኔታ ምክንያት እየመጡ ያሉ ትልልቅ ክስተቶች ስላሉ፤ አማራ አንድ መሆኑ፤ ቅንጦት ፤ ወይ እንዲሁ መፈክር ሳይሆን፤ አስፈላጊ፤ የማሸነፍ ቅድመ ሁኔታ እንደመሆኑ፤ "ቆይ ይስተካከላል" ተብሎ በዝምታ የሚታለፍ ሳይሆን ከ7 እስከ 10 ቀናት ውስጥ መፈታት ያለበት ስለሆነ፤ እውነታችሁን ይዛችሁ በትንሽ ቀናት ውስጥ ዋና ዋና የተባሉትን የአማራ ሃይሎች አንድ እንዳይሆኑ የተሸረቡትን ስሁት ትርክቶች ታከሽፉ ዘንድ ጥሪ አቀርባለሁ።

እውነት ያለው ሁሉ እውነቱን የሚናገርበት ማንም የማይገፋበት መድረክ ይኖራል። ከስድብ ባለፈ መናገር የሚችል ሁሉ ወንድም እህቶቻችን ደረታቸውን ለጥይት ሰጥተው እየጠረጉ ያሉትን የነፃነት እና የህልውና መንገድ፤ እኛ ደግሞ መንጓጠጥ እና ስድብ ሳንፈራ፤ ስማችንን ሰጥተን፤እናፀዳው፤ እንጠብቀው ዘንድ ጥሪ አቀርባለሁ። ወንድም እህቶቻችን የተሰውበትን መንገድ ተከትለው ነውና ህልውናችንን አስጠብቀው፤ ነፃነትም የሚያጎናፅፉን።

ርዕስ፡ ሰርጎ ገቦችን ከለላ መስጠት ከጠላትነት ተለይቶ አይታይም።

ከ 'አንድ አማራ' ጋር ሰርቶ አንድ ክረምት ያለፈ የለም። የነሱ ሸፍጥ ከ2021 ጀምሮ በማስረጃ ያጋለጥነው ነው። በአካሄድ አለመግባባት ሊኖር ይቻላል፤ አብሮ መስራት ካልተቻለ፤ በየራስ መንገድ መሄድ ነው እንጂ፤ እንዲህ አይነት የጠላት ቡድንን፤ ገና ለገና ያኛውን ቡድን ይሰድብልኛል ብሎ ጠፍቶ እንዳይጠፋ፤ እየጎተቱ ወደትግሉ ማምጣት፤ በጣም አማተርነት ነው።

የሆነ በአዲስ መገለጥ የሚፈልግ ቡድን በመጣ ቁጥር፤ ገና ለገና የነበረውን፤ character assassinate አድርገው፤ ሜዳ ያስለቅቁልናል ብሎ እንዲህ የሚያዋርድ ነገር ውስጥ ከመግባት፤ ካለው የተሻለ ሆኖ ለመገኘት ሰርቶ ማሳየት ብቻ ነው የሚያስፈልገው።

በድጋሚ ከ"አንድ አማራ" ጋር መስራት፤ እንግሊዞቹ kiss of death የሚሉት ነው። አልሰማ ካላችሁ፤ በተራችሁ ሲያዋርዷችሁ አይድነቃችሁ። በተረፈ፤ በነሱ መሰደብ፤ በራሱ የህዝብ አጋርነትን ያሳያል!ከምንም ነገር በላይ የ'አንድ አማራ' ዋናው አላማ ይህን ህገ መንግስት መንከባከብ ነው። ስለዚህ በነሱ ስማችሁ የተብጠለጠለ ሁሉ፤ ይህን አስቀያሚ ስርዓት እያንገዳገዳችሁት መሆኑን አውቃችሁ ደስታ ይሰማችሁ! በነገራችን ላይ ስለ 'አንድ አማራ' የዚህ ስርዓት አፍቃሪነት እያወቃችሁ አብራችሁ የሰራችሁ፤ ይህን ስርዓት ልንነቅል ነው የመጣነው ብትሉ ማንም አያምናችሁም። ሳታውቁ የገባችሁበት ደግሞ ካሁኑ ከነሱ ዞር በሉ።

ለማስታወስ ያህል 'አንድ አማራ' ካደረጋቸው ትልልቅ የጥላቻ ዘመቻዎች ውስጥ

* የአማራ ማህበራትን፤ አመራሮቻቸውን እና አባላቶቻቸውን በጠቅላላ ስም ማጥፋት፤ ሪፖርቶቻቸውን ፎቶሾፕ በማድረግ የታቀደ በውሸት ላይ የተመሰረተ ስም ማጥፋት ማድረግ።

* እርዳታ በተቀናጀ ሁኔታ በተቋማት ባንክ አካውንቶች (ማንኛውም ሰው ሄዶ ማስረጃ መጠየቅ በሚችልበት መልኩ) ይደረግ የነበርውን፤ በዘመቻ፤ ገንዘብ እንደድሮው በግለሰብ አካውንቶች እንዲሰበሰብ፤ accountability እንዳይኖር ማድረግ።

* የጎንደር አማሮችን "ስኳድ" "ቀይ ጥለት" እያሉ በአማራ ላይ ክፍፍል መፍጠር፡ ልክ የጎንደር አማሮች የአማራ ህዝባዊ ሃይሉን እንደማይፈልጉ፤ ዘመነ ላይ እየዘመቱበት እንደሆነ፤ በማድረግ ከፍተኛ (ብዙ የተቀዳ ማስረጃ አለ)፤ ሰርተዋል።

* የአማራ ህዝባዊ ግንባር ሲታወጅ፤ ድርጅቱን የደገፉ መስለው፤ አብረው ሌሎች በፊት የነበሩ የአማራ እንቅስቃሴዎችን ሁሉ ብአዴን እያሉ መፈረጅ፤ ከአሳምነው ግዜ ጀምሮ የተጀመረውን ጥንስስ፤ የአማራ ፋኖ ካውንስልን እዛው መሬት ላይ የተመሰረተውን ብአዴን ብሎ ጭቃ መለጠፍ። እነ ዶ/ር ወንዶሰንን እነ መስከረምን፤ እንዲሁም አያሌ የአማራን ዘር ጭፍጨፋ ለማጋለጥ ሲንቀሳቀሱ የታሰሩ ሰብአዊ መብት ታጋዮችን እንዲሁም፤ ጋዜጠኞችን ፤ ብአዴን ማለት፤ ህዝቡም ድምጽ እንዳይሆናቸው መስራት።

* ከላይ ለዘመነ አጋዥ መስለው እንዳልከረሙ፤ አሁን ደግሞ፤ የ"ጎጃም ስኳድ" ጎንደር ላይ እያሴረ ነው በማለት፤ ጎንደር እና ጎጃም መሃል አየር ላይ የተንሳፈፈም ቢሆን፤ የልዩነት ድባብ ለመፍጠር መሞከር። የጎጃም ፋኖን አገው ሸንጎ ነው ማለት።

* ህዝባዊ ግንባሩን በሚደግፉ ግዜ ይደግፉት የነበርውን ፤ ከግንባሩ ጋር ይሰራሉ ያሏቸውን ፋኖዎች፤ አሁን በእስክንድር የሚመራውን ሠራዊት መቃወም ሲጀምሩ፤ መሳደብ ማብጠልጠል።

* በቅርብ፤ ተቀድቶ ከወጣው፤ አንድ ስብሰባ ላይ ሲናገሩ ከነበረው፤ ቅጂ ላይ ግን አኪላ ሲል እንደተሰማው፤

"ጎንደር ለነሱ ደረት የሚሰጥ፤ እንደ እግረኛ ወታደር ብቻ የሚጠቀሙበት መሪ የሌለው እንደሆነ አድርጎ ማውራቱ፤ (እውነታው ስንት እንቁ የጎንደር ፋኖ መሪዎችን፤ አይደለም የአማራ፤ የጠቅላላ ኢትዮጲያ እና፤ ለአህጉሩም የሚበቁትን፤ ሲፈርጁ እና ሲሰድቡ መዋላቸው እንዳለ ሆኖ) ፤

ጎጃም፤ ድሉን ሁሉ ህዝቡ በአቦ ሰጥ ስላመጣው እንጂ፤ የጎጃም ፋኖ አመራሮቹ ያመጡት እንዳልሆነ እንደሆነ አድርጎ ማውራቱ፤ (እውነታው የሚገርም መቀናጀት የታየበት፤ የእዝ ሰንሰለት ሰርተው ጠላትን ያንቀጠቀጠ፤ ዘመቻዎችን የጎጃም ፋኖ አመራሮች እየመሩ መሆኑ ሆኖ) ፤

ወሎ ላይ አመራሮችን አቋም የላቸውም ማለቱን (እውነታው ቤተአማራ፤ ሰፊ በአገሪቱ ምስራቅ ቀጠና ውስጥ ያለ አማራ ሁሉ፤ የሚያደራጅበትን እንዲሁም ከጥቃት የሚታደግበትን እቅድ ይዞ የተደራጀ፤ ፅኑ አቋም ያለው፤ በገፍ ፋኖዎችን ያሰለጠነ ጽኑ አመራር ያለውም ሆኖ) ፤

እንዲሁም የሸዋ ፋኖዎች ለብቻቸው መሪነቱን መያዝ አለባችሁ እናንተ ብቻ ናችሁ ትግሉን መምራት እምትችሉት ማለቱ (እውነታው፤ የአማራ ፋኖ በሸዋ የሁሉንም አማራ ፋኖ ወደ አንድ መዋቅር ለማምጣት፤ በግንባር ቀደምነት የተሳተፈ፤ ከፋኖ አንድነት አመቻች ኮሚቴዎች ወደ አራቱ ከዚሁ የሸዋ ፋኖ የተወከሉ መሆኑን፤ እና የጠቅላላ አማራ ፋኖ አንድነት የሚጨንቃቸው፤ የለፉለት እና ዳር የሚያደርሱት መሆኑ፤ ልክ በአራቱም አቅጣጫ እንዳሉት ፋኖዎች በጥምር አመራር የሚያምኑ መሆናቸው)፤ ሆኖ ሳለ፤ በዛ ቅጂ ላይ ግን በግልጽ ይህ 'አንድ አማራ' የሚል ቡድን፤ በአራቱም አቅጣጫ የተለያየ መርዛማ ትርክት እየተከለ እንደሆነ የተጋለጠበት ነበረ።

ይህ ቡድን ለየትኛውም አካባቢ አማራ ብሎም ለጠቅላላ ኢትዮጲያ የማይጠቅም፤ ፤ የህውሃት ወ ብልፅግናን በአማራ ፋኖ ደም፡ 'እንደገና ሪፎርም አድርጌ መጣሁ' ብሎ የመግዛት ህልም ለማሳለጥ የመጣ እንደሆነ ለአንዴና ለመጨረሻ ግዜ ይግባችሁ።

ለትንሽ ግዜ ክሬዲቢሊቲ ከሰጣችኋቸው ማንንም ይሰድቡላችኋል፤ በመጭረሻ ግን ያዋርዷችኋል። አብራችሁ ካየናችሁ፤ አላማችሁ ይህን ስርዓት ማገልገል እንደሆነ እንረዳለን። በአሁኑ ሰዓት፤ ሰውን በአፉ ከሚለው ባለፈ በድርጊቱ መለካት ያልጀመረ ሰው፤ ይኖራል ብሎ ማመን ስለሚከብድም፤ አውቆ የተደረገ ድጋፍ ሆኖ ይወሰድባችኋል።

Minneapolis, Minnesota, June 24, 2024: On an event organized by Minnesota Global (@GlobalMinnesota ) at the Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs in University of Minnesota (@UMNews), Assistant Secretary of State Molly Phee (@AsstSecStateAF ) gave an in depth insight into the U.S. Policy in Africa and also gave updates on the work done by @StateDept in Africa.

Ms. Meaza Mohammed (@mohammed_meaza ) a journalist and award winning Human Rights Defender, Dr. Senait Senay (@SenaitSenay), Director of Genocide Prevention in Ethiopia (GPE), and Mr. Yezihalem Mesfin, Chairperson of the Amhara Heritage Society in Minnesota (@AmharaMN) and also the President of Federation of Amharas in North America (FANA) were among the audience that followed the conversation and later had the opportunity to greet and pass message regarding matters that more specifically cover the situation in Ethiopia.

Matters raised include, the unique challenges faced by victims of Amhara genocide in particular and human rights issues in general in Ethiopia because of disinformation and engineered narratives that are blocking justice from survivors of heinous crimes against humanity in Ethiopia. The emphasis was on the fact that no true reconciliation or dialogue can occur without holding perpetrators accountable, and that there is not any mechanism available currently in Ethiopia that can impartially bring the facts to light. Another important message was that the current attempt by the regime in Ethiopia to make it look like a real national dialogue is occurring is another attempt to cover up the crimes the regime committed for years.

During the public Q and A session, Assistant Secretary of State, Ms. Molly Phee, detailed the ongoing work done in Africa. The updates shared were generally promising, as the answers highlighted various measures that are being put in place to effect real change in issues regarding Africa in general with tangible examples from DRC and other regions.
