@brasst For a 3 hour time period: first 2 hours were in-person (no appointment needed), last hour was virtual (scheduled via a Google form). In-person attendance was surprisingly low compared to pre-pandemic numbers and 100% virtual conferences from the past two school years.
@IAStartingLine To clarify something in the story- Camp Shalom is not a camp at the park, but is located about a mile down Caves Rd. from Maquoketa Caves State Park.
@BrianStocking@TimBrando You’re probably right. Cincinnati’s defense kept them in the game, offense didn’t do them any favors to help keep them off the field. Future G5 school would need a stronger offense- first Bearcat game I watched this year so I don’t know how they executed during the regular season
@ejanecek83 Every wedding I’ve been to without a seating chart has been terrible. Scrambling to make sure you’re sitting with friends. Pulling up a chair for the one friend that’s left out of your group (which venues hate). People would rather be told what to do than hope for the best.
Davenport West's Luke Loving advances to the Class 2A state tennis tournament with a runner-up singles finish at the Bettendorf district.
Linn-Mar was team champ. No other locals advanced.

One reason I prefer college football on ESPN over Fox is that they don’t feel like they have to “remind” us on every catch a player gets 1 foot in bounds that one foot counts as a catch in college
Week 2 of online learning- I am at the “stress shopping between synchronous sessions stage”. With an extension in virtual teaching/learning almost guaranteed, we could be at #threatlevelmidnight
Day 3 of online teaching- I had kept my routine of getting ready for school the first two days, but that has ended. I’m already on the dry shampoo instead of showering and glasses instead of contacts stage #onlineteaching
@Lee0107_ I think it shows promise for vaccine effectiveness over long term w/o the need for a booster. They comment at the end about the likelihood of low levels of IgG in those w/ low viral load- I’d like to see a longitudinal study linking IgG/CD4, etc. in asymptomatic people
I’ve been bad about posting, but I am on here all the time. Since I’m 100% virtual the next few weeks, maybe I’ll post about how it’s going each day. Today’s update- it’s not going great #onlinelearning
