Structure used to be something we designed. It is becoming something we discover.

An essay on data, organizations, and why the interface is not the skin of the product — it's the seed. https://t.co/wudeaqAtBT

@ding_liam @XMoney @grok 今天 rollout 到我两个号，奇奇怪怪

The speed and memory usage are really optimized to the max, amazing❤️

This is Pele, my new rendering library for diagrams and charts, compatible with the latest Mermaid syntax.

- 100-500× faster than mermaid.js
- 6× smaller bundle
- No dependencies
- Easy to theme
- Responsive to device width

In pursuit of making Obsidian insanely fast and cohesively designed, I always found the Mermaid library to be too big, too slow, and too hard to theme. Pele will be the new renderer in the next version of Obsidian, but you can start using it now.

Pele [ˈpɛlɛ] is named after the goddess of volcanoes and fire. It's open source under the MIT license. Try the playground!

@dhh It's definitely a lazy way to go about things, and it feels like the lower-quality products are driving out the better ones. Pragmatism has become the norm, and taste and aesthetics are now seen as "waste." That's really sad

I'm grateful to meet people who share the same vision, the same product sense, and a similar logic underneath.

While writing requirements and running acceptance tests, the idea of Intovibe Studio came to me.

We think about AI and the future the way engineers and researchers do. From first principles.

We believe in a future that is more than grand talk. We can see it: a real human society, one you can actually feel.

Intovibe Studio started with the three of us. We build it one step at a time. From a future organization, to a future way of living and working.

A company. An organization. A studio.

We don't let ourselves be defined.
We chase a future that is meaningful, wonderful, and efficient.

We live between contradictions. Duty and dreams. Ambition and desire. Mistakes, regret, pain.

So what keeps a man flying?

Maybe he has done real harm, to others and to himself. Growth doesn't come from being forgiven. It comes from healing, and from trusting his own intuition and kindness.

Life is beautiful: we can seek goodness and find it.
Life is dangerous: there is a bottomless pit underneath.

Embrace the best in people. And keep the courage to look into the abyss, and stand against it.

@goodhunt That's awesome! Have a great time in China, feel free to come back anytime

Top experts rely on intuition. I'm an underdog. I build on experience and analysis, so for me it comes down to starting from scratch and simplifying.

Less is more. That's a design philosophy, and a kind of talent.

A lecture I watched today said it plainly: when you really understand something, it becomes simple. If it gets more complicated the more you read, you haven't understood it yet.

In the AI era, smart people just come up with really simple, efficient architectures. Idiots like me work from 0 to 1, then 1 to 100, then 100 back to 1.

Cultivating that kind of thinking is the key.
