Stasi believes deeply in the power of education to change lives and understands that opportunity is built one student, one family, and one community at a time.
I'm grateful for his belief in me and the many opportunities he gave me to lead, grow, and serve - all while championing my most important role as a mama.
Polk State is gaining a remarkable president, but more importantly, a good man.
Congratulations, my friend. I couldn't be happier for you, Rachel, the girls, and the entire Polk State community.
I’m looking forward to this next chapter as the President of @PolkState and am grateful for the trust and support of the Board of Trustees, the faculty, the community and most importantly, the students.
Together we will strengthen Polk State’s legacy of excellence and ensure the college remains responsive to the workforce demands of Polk’s rapidly growing community.
Anastasios "Stasi" Kamoutsas is officially president of Polk State College. He received a standing ovation after trustees unanimously approved his appointment.
Story to come @theledger
These words are earthy, honest, and oh, so uncomfortable.
@BenSasse is reflecting about the things people used to know instinctively but modern life keeps teaching us to forget. That dinners matter, that time is slipping, that identity is fragile when untethered from grace, that love lives in ordinary rituals.
I don’t know that I’ve ever read anything that made me want to rearrange my entire life overnight. Not out of guilt but out of clarity. About time. About family. About grace. About the terrifying speed of childhood and the danger of confusing productivity with purpose.
He’s a living sermon with dirt under its nails. He is being profoundly and unapologetically human for all to see.
I feel this in my bones.
New: @BenSasse sits down for an interview with me at a bar in Manhattan.
We talked about many topics—from his childhood to politics to Heaven—and why his message about “redeeming the time” after his terminal cancer diagnosis is resonating with so many.

Under @GovRonDeSantis’ leadership, Florida has completely transformed its emergency response efforts. Less bureaucracy, more coordination across agencies like @FLSERT and @FLHSMV, and year-round preparations allow us to better serve communities when they need it most.
Owning your own home has been the American dream since our nation was founded. What better way to celebrate America 250 then a massive property tax cut through a $250,000 homestead exemption! 🇺🇸🍊

Secretary Ricky Dixon has been a top-tier agency head throughout his time in the @GovRonDeSantis administration. Florida was fortunate to have him at the helm of @FL_Corrections for so many years. Thank you for your service to the state Ricky!
After 30 years of dedicated service to the State of Florida, Secretary Ricky Dixon has announced his retirement from the Florida Department of Corrections.
Secretary Dixon began his career in 1996 as a Correctional Officer at Lancaster Correctional Institution, before rising through the ranks to lead the third-largest state correctional system in the nation.
