York County offices and facilities will RE-OPEN on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026 at 11 a.m. PLEASE NOTE: It is possible not all York County Collection & Recycling Centers will be open on Monday. Please check back on Monday, Feb. 2 at 10 a.m. for a list of centers that will open at 11 a.m.
Snow in York County has made for hazardous road conditions. We urge residents to stay off the roads, if they can.

Due to the upcoming winter storm all York County facilities will be CLOSED for public safety on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, and Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026. This affects: • County Collection & Recycling Centers, York County Landfill and all other government facilities.
2/2: While the exact amount of snowfall we will receive is unknown, we do know driving conditions will be hazardous.
This weekend, enjoy the snow but stay off the roads! This helps our road crews and emergency responders do their job and keep our communities safe.
Thread 1/2: York County continues to monitor the latest winter system heading our way and will make a decision regarding our weekend operations no later than 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31, 2026.
We will also be consulting with South Carolina Emergency Management Division as we prepare for potential impacts.
We encourage residents to make their own plans NOW for more winter weather & to prepare for the possibility of road closures or travel delays through the weekend.
