Nobody is shocked.
@csljohnkirby Yes yes yes. I’m sure (hope) this is what most people feel. This idea that anyone who doesn’t support “patriots” is a peadophile protector who wants open borders is ridiculous
🚨🇺🇸 The man who fed USAID into a wood chipper has just been asked to map the future of war.
Yesterday Pete Hegseth named Elon Musk, Anduril founder Palmer Luckey, and Newt Gingrich to co-lead "Project Meridian." They have 120 days to "identify the domains that we must conquer."
Look at what Musk did with his last job.
In February 2025, he boasted that he'd spent the weekend feeding USAID into the wood chipper. His crew included engineers aged 19 to 24 with little or no government experience. They were given access to federal payment systems and the agency's internal systems. Nobody on the team was known for expertise in global health or humanitarian aid. They were dismantling the world's largest humanitarian donor.
A federal judge found the shutdown likely violated the Constitution, and cited Musk's own posts as evidence of who was in control. An appeals court paused that ruling. The litigation is still running. So far, the courts have blocked attempts to question Musk under oath about his role.
People died. These aren't projections. They have names. Reporters at the New York Times, the Washington Post, PBS, and CNN documented children and adults who died after USAID-funded food and medicine stopped.
When Nicholas Kristof put those deaths to him, Musk didn't address a single name. He called Kristof "an utter piece of shit and a liar."
That's the record. Now the vision.
In January 2025, Musk said the Moon was "a distraction," and SpaceX was going straight to Mars. He'd said an uncrewed Starship would launch for Mars by the end of 2026.
In February 2026, SpaceX shifted focus to building a city on the Moon. Mars might start in five to seven years.
That's the pattern. A wish announced as a plan. A deadline that slides. A new wish.
So what qualifies him for this job? Not military expertise. Not a record of careful judgement where lives are at stake. Money, confidence, and an opinion on everything.
Two of the three co-leads run companies that sell to the Pentagon. SpaceX is the military's main launch provider. Anduril sells it jammers, interceptors, and autonomous aircraft. In the same speech, Hegseth launched a new command for drones, robotics, and AI warfare. That's exactly the market Musk and Luckey sell into.
So the men writing the shopping list own the shops.
And the findings come with a classified annex. The part most likely to decide what gets built, and who gets paid to build it, is the part none of us will see.
They're planning which domains to conquer. Nobody has been asked to plan for peace.
Listen up, you sons of a country that never learned to count. Spider here. I’ve just smoked enough to kill a mid-sized mammal and I still have more contempt left than you have facts.
That quarter-million figure - “250,000 Muslim rape gang victims,” “250,000 young white girls,” pick your flavour of the week - is not a count. It is a political slogan with a decimal point glued on. Lord Pearson of Rannoch stood up in the House of Lords in 2018 and again in 2019 and asked, as a rhetorical flourish, whether if you took Professor Alexis Jay’s 2014 Rotherham inquiry and “extrapolated nationally” with Telford and Oxford you “appear to have been upwards of 250,000.” He then called it “probably an underestimate.” Rupert Lowe’s privately funded Rape Gang Inquiry later copied the same number and dressed it as established fact. It was never established. Baroness Casey’s 2025 national audit said the data is not there. The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse said in 2022 it is “not possible to know the scale of child sexual exploitation by networks.”
Jay’s Rotherham number was a conservative estimate of about 1,400 children sexually exploited in one borough over sixteen years. Not “white girls only.” Not “Muslim gangs only.” Not even “group-based offending only.” Child sexual exploitation is a wider bucket than “organised street grooming by a named ethnic network.” Sarah Champion, Rotherham’s own MP, once floated “hundreds of thousands” and “up to a million.” She later told Full Fact that figure was “completely unreliable.” Pearson’s office then tried to turn Rotherham’s share of its own population into a national multiplier and still had to fudge the arithmetic. That is not epidemiology. That is a man with a megaphone and a calculator he does not trust.
Religion and ethnicity of attackers? National police datasets still fail to record ethnicity for the majority of suspects. Casey’s audit said the ethnicity data is not sufficient to draw national conclusions. Where forces have recorded it, white suspects remain the largest group in group-based child sexual abuse overall. Pakistani men are over-represented in some local “grooming” slices relative to their share of the population - that is real, and pretending otherwise is another kind of lie - but “87 percent Muslim names” from a cherry-picked conviction list, or Quilliam’s 2017 sample of 264 cases, or an imam’s off-the-cuff 95 percent, is not a census of every attacker in Britain. You do not get to invent a theology for men whose faith was never entered on the charge sheet.
The actual crimes are disgusting. Rotherham, Rochdale, Oxford, Telford, Oldham - girls treated as meat by men who should have been buried under the courthouse. Institutions that looked away because they were cowards, racists of the other flavour, or both. That happened. Survivors said it happened. Inquiries confirmed it happened. Anyone who denies those specific, documented horrors is a liar.
Anyone who inflates them into a quarter-million-strong racial morality play so they can spit on every Muslim in the country is a different kind of scavenger. They are not thinking about the victims first. They are thinking about the audience. They take a child’s wrecked life, strip the name off it, stamp a religion on the attacker they cannot even prove, multiply by a fantasy, and sell the product as patriotism. That is not justice. That is grave-robbing with a spreadsheet.
Put the victims first or shut your filthy mouth. Investigate every network. Record ethnicity properly so the next inquiry is not another fog machine. Jail the men who did it. Jail the officials who covered it. Do not use a made-up 250,000 as a permission slip to hate people who never touched a child. If your compassion only activates when the perpetrator’s name sounds foreign, you were never here for the girls. You were here for the fight.

LOOK AT HIM.
Not a fucking statistic.
Not a “dinghy”.
Not an immigration graph on a Farage speech.
A HUMAN FUCKING BEING.
A man lying face down in the sea, dead, washing towards our shore.
And there are people in this country who have actually stood there and CHANTED “LET THEM DROWN.”
Well, THIS is what you were fucking chanting about.
This is what “let them drown” looks like when you strip away the flags, the shouting, the memes and the bollocks.
A dead man.
Somebody’s son. Somebody’s brother. Somebody who had a life before he became another number in somebody else’s political argument.
You can want borders controlled. You can oppose the small boats. You can demand that the smugglers are stopped.
But if you can look at that and still think drowning human beings is something to cheer about because some politician has told you they’re the enemy, then honestly, what the fuck has happened to us?
And that’s the bit that makes my blood boil.
I can already picture some people looking at this and feeling absolutely nothing — because they’ve been conditioned to see a desperate human being as nothing more than a “migrant”.
For fuck’s sake. Stop listening to @Nigel_Farage for five minutes and look at the fucking human being.
If this doesn’t make you stop and think, I genuinely don’t know what will.

Before ANY politician votes on welfare policy, they should live on it. Three months. The rate that fits their circumstances. No exceptions. No expenses. No subsidised meals. No second home allowance.
This isn't a party issue. Labour. Conservative. Reform. Lib Dem. ALL of you talk about welfare. NONE of you have lived on it.
The challenge:
Three months on Universal Credit. Whichever rate applies:
Single under 25: £316.98/month
Single 25+: £400.14/month
Couple under 25: £497.55/month
Couple 25+: £628.10/month
Note: those are the APRIL 2026 rates. They DROPPED from 2025. The safety net shrank while rent, energy, and food all rose.
The rules:
No MP salary. No expenses. No Commons subsidised meals. No travel budget. No second home. Just UC and whatever the housing element covers which won't be your full rent because LHA hasn't matched market rents since 2020.
You attend the Jobcentre every two weeks. A work coach tells you to apply for 35 jobs a week. You evidence every application in a journal. You miss an appointment because the bus didn't come you get sanctioned.
You pay your bills from the UC rate:
Electric: -£150
Council tax shortfall: -£30
Water: -£15
Insurance: -£20
Internet: -£20
Phone: -£15
Remaining: £88.58/month on the single over-25 rate. £20.46/week. £2.92/day.
For food. Clothes. Transport. Toiletries. Everything.
The weekly shop:
£50 at Iceland for a family. I costed it this week. Every product linked. Every price verified.
Family of four result: one chicken dinner per week. 100g per person. Four out of seven dinners are lentils. 16 bananas between four people. No other fruit.
Single person result: marginally better. But £2.92/day is a Tesco meal deal. For the ENTIRE day. Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner.
The commute:
DWP considers 90 minutes each way "reasonable." Three hours a day. Plus 8 hours working or job searching. Eleven hours out of the house. The travel costs come from the £2.92/day. A single bus fare can be £2.50. One journey. One way. And the day's food budget is gone.
Week by week:
Week 1: the electricity bill arrives. It takes more than a third of your income. You learn what "prepayment meter" means when it cuts off at 11pm because the credit ran out.
Week 2: the fridge contains lentils, value bread, and long-life milk. You haven't eaten fresh meat in nine days. The microwave costs 3.7p per meal. The oven costs 46p. You use the microwave. Every meal.
Week 3: you stopped going out. A coffee costs £2.50. That's nearly a day's food budget. Your friends stopped asking because you always say no. The walls are very familiar now.
Week 4: the Jobcentre threatens a sanction. You missed the appointment. The bus was cancelled. The next one was in four hours. You walked. It took 90 minutes. You arrived late. "Late is a fail" says the work coach. The sanction docks your UC by 40% for a month.
Month 2: you've applied for 280 jobs. Three interviews. No offers. The Jobcentre asks why you haven't found work. You show them Indeed. 1,964 no-experience jobs for 9 million people in London. The work coach notes "insufficient effort" on your file.
Month 3: someone on X calls you "workshy."
The challenge is for:
@KemiBadenoch you said "if you can work, you should." Live on what you'd leave them with. Then say it again.
@HelenWhately eighteen posts about welfare. Zero days on it. Three months would give you the policy document you haven't published.
@griffitha you announced £47 billion in savings without a financial analyst. Three months on £2.92/day IS your financial analysis.
@JoePJRobertson you said "workshy." Three months on UC. Then use that word to my face.
@patmcfaddenmp you RUN the DWP. You administer the system. Live inside it. See what your work coaches see. Feel what your claimants feel. Then tell Parliament how it's going.
@JohnHealey_MP you set the rates. You approved the cut from 2025 to 2026. Live on the number you signed off. For three months. With the energy bill you didn't shield them from.
@EdDavey you talk about fairness. Prove it. Three months. Same rules. No Lib Dem exceptions.
This isn't about humiliation. It's about UNDERSTANDING. Every policy decision about welfare is made by people who've never experienced it.
Every cut is calculated by people who've never counted the pennies for the electric meter.
Every sanction is designed by people who've never missed a bus they couldn't afford.
Three months. Any rate. Any circumstances. Just LIVE ON IT. Then vote.

Andrew Neil on #bbcqt: "The big problem we face is 6.7 million adults of working age who aren't working and are living on out-of-work benefits. 6.7 million. No country can prosper with that number of people able to work who are not working."
The first half is broadly right. DWP figures show 6.7 million people in Great Britain claimed some combination of out-of-work benefits in March 2026. However, the second half is misinformation because it misdescribes that statistic.
DWP's out-of-work benefits category deliberately includes people the state has assessed as unable to work, or does not currently expect to work.
DWP's own breakdown shows that 4.6 million of the 6.7 million, around 68%, have no work requirements at all.
DWP explains that this is generally because they are too sick to work or are the main carer for a very young child. That group includes 2.8 million Universal Credit claimants on the health route and 390,000 on Employment and Support Allowance and older incapacity benefits.
Only 2.2 million, about a third, are expected to take any steps towards work, and 590,000 of those are themselves on the health route.
Treating the whole 6.7 million as available labour turns a count of claimants into a count of idle workers, which the data simply does not support.
The official labour market figures tell a very different story. The ONS puts unemployment, meaning people actively looking for and available for work, at 1.78 million for May to July 2026. The Learning and Work Institute estimates that 3.9 million people are out of work but say they want a job, and that there are 5.5 of them for every vacancy.
There is a serious debate to be had about rising sickness claims and appropriate support. It is not helped by presenting people the state itself has judged unable to work, or not required to, as if they were simply choosing not to.
Nobody challenged Neil. Nobody corrected the misinformation. Neil got a round of applause. Someone could have told Fiona Bruce the facts in less than a minute. This is just one example which helps explain why many people understandably treat @bbcquestiontime as a joke.

Two Solihull Reform UK councillors were among a group of councillors identified as members of a Facebook group linked to the controversial Patriot Platform movement, according to an investigation published this week.
The two Solihull Reform councillors, Cllrs Paul Goldingay and Jamie Campbell, were among five Reform councillors from across England identified as having been members of the private Northeast Patriots Facebook group.
The investigation, reported by the Guardian and supported by research from campaign group Hope not Hate, found that the Facebook group directs members towards Patriot Platform, an anti-migrant organisation which has recently attracted national attention following intimidating balaclava dressed demonstrations in Dover and Portsmouth.
Patriot Platform was established by Daniel Thomas, a figure associated with far-right activist Tommy Robinson. Demonstrations involving people connected to the movement have included groups of masked men and have resulted in clashes with police.
Everyone asks "how do we afford PIP?"
Nobody asks "why does disability cost so much?"
A grab rail: £8 at Screwfix. £85 through a mobility company.
Adapted cutlery: £12 to manufacture. £35 in the catalogue.
A shower seat: £15 plastic stool. £90 as a "shower aid."
A postural chair: £200 to build. £800 with "disability" on the label.
Disability costs more because the market CHARGES more. Not because it COSTS more. The word "adapted" on the box adds 300-500% to the price.
PIP exists to cover the "extra cost of disability." But the extra cost is ARTIFICIAL. Created by manufacturers who know you NEED the product and price accordingly.
Fix the price. Sell aids at cost. Remove the markup. Remove the VAT. Remove the glossy catalogue and the sales rep's commission.
The "extra cost of disability" drops by 60-80%. PIP spending falls. Without cutting a single person's support.
Helen Whately has posted thirteen times asking how to cut PIP. She has never once asked why disability products cost five times what they should.
https://t.co/eL53voUhtO disability charter. Fix the price. Not the person.
@LittleMyTweets@Channel4 Keep going. We had it here in Epping but it sounds like you are having to deal with much worse. Thank you for being brave and taking a stand
Rachel, a resident in Piddington
Talking about how upsetting it is that the hard right and ppl coming in from outside the village - Daniel Thomas and plastic patriots.
Rachel - "the use of fear as a means to rally and active..has encouraged the wrong type of views - outside ppl..this 5th wave of fascism is indicative of what happened in the late 80s....
Derbyshire then says local women are worried about asylum seeker men
Rachel - "Reframe that.. 1200 men from EVERYWHERE would worry women..."
She then breaks down at how upset she is living amongst racists.
Excellent interview.
Will upset the usual lot.
So.... £2,485 on glasses for a PM was "sleaze rotting our politics to the core" but £72,000,000 in a single day for Nigel Farage is celebrated as hitting "the jackpot" and a "war chest..."
Whatever is happening here is happening in plain sight. You decide!
Imagine discovering that, while you were fighting for answers about your son’s death, a government minister was discussing how to isolate you.
That is what happened to me.
In 2024, I was shown WhatsApp messages reportedly sent by Nadine Dorries to Matt Hancock while I was campaigning for a statutory public inquiry into mental-health deaths in Essex.
One message read:
“We aren’t going there… I’m picking off the other families and speaking to them one by one to get them on side to isolate her.”
I was “her”.
I was a bereaved mother asking the Government to investigate how my 20-year-old son, Matthew Leahy, died while detained in an NHS mental-health unit.
During the parliamentary debate on 30 November 2020, Nadine Dorries also stated that Matthew had taken his own life. Barbara Keeley MP immediately challenged this because Matthew’s inquest returned an open narrative verdict and I did not accept that account. Hansard was later formally corrected to say that Matthew “died by hanging while he was in the care of the NHS”.
After more than 105,000 people supported my petition, the Government established only a non-statutory inquiry—without the power to compel witnesses to give evidence. It eventually became unworkable because of poor staff cooperation and was not converted into a statutory inquiry until 2023.
No bereaved mother seeking the truth should ever be viewed as someone to be isolated, managed or silenced.
I was not the problem.
I was exposing the problem.
I am still here. I am still asking questions. And I will continue fighting for truth, accountability and safer mental-health services.
For Matthew—and for every family who deserves answers.

Real estate magnate Donald Trump calls into UPN 9 News in New York City.
When they ask if his tower on 40 Wall Street has been damaged by the attacks, he brags that it used to be the second tallest skyscraper in downtown Manhattan before the collapse of the World Trade Center, and now it’s the tallest building again.
