Used to get mad when mom posted the ugliest pics of me, but now that I'm older, l realized that she was always choosing the ones I looked the happiest in.
this girl fainted infront of me today at Euston and they were saying it was probably cos of her low iron but deep down ik the real reason was cos of how good my trim is. my barber done me so nicely, he said it should be illegal for how sharp it is.
People genuinely don’t talk enough about the fact that he 3-peated the PL AND the UCL.
Not as a squad player. Not as a passenger. As the main fucking man.
When you actually sit back and process that, you'll know that it's one of the most absurd achievements in football history.
This visit broke my heart.
I visited an elderly man with a free food parcel he had requested. When I arrived, he asked, “Can you talk to me for five minutes, or do you have to go?”
I told him I could stay.
He spoke about his life, grieving his late wife and losing his only child to addiction. I stayed for an hour and listened.
As I left, he said, “Thank you for listening. It’s been a long time since anyone listened to me, Tasha.” I’m sure he meant me. Either way, he went back into his home smiling.
With his permission, I’ve passed his details to a befriending service.
I learnt a long time ago that a food bank is about more than food.
It’s about connection, being heard and being seen.
I hope I made his day.
I know he made mine. #foodbank
🗣 Commentator Amer Al-Khudairi:
"The day we fear, and you fear, will come. You will leave and retire. You will abandon football, and that radiant light will be extinguished, and the most glorious chapter for football fans will be closed."😢
Just saw an Instagram reel that said:
“At some point you become the age that your parents were in your childhood memories, only you don’t feel like an adult, and you realize your parents were still just kids trying to figure it out too”
And that shit just fucked me up.
went to the Batman 2 set in Glasgow and one of the security people said that they have to search the set for Irn Bru cans every night because the locals are trying to sneak one into the film and they keep popping up in the bins and hot dog stands lmao
Before Nimsdai, completing all 14 of the world's 8,000-meter peaks was regarded as a lifetime achievement. Polish mountaineer Jerzy Kukuczka accomplished the feat in 7 years, 11 months, and 14 days, a record that stood as the benchmark until South Korea's Kim Chang-ho reduced it by just over a month. Kukuczka's legacy, however, extended far beyond speed. During his career, he pioneered 10 new routes on 8,000-meter peaks and achieved four first winter ascents, defining one of the greatest eras in mountaineering history.
Then came Nirmal "Nimsdai" Purja, bringing a bold, modern vision to Himalayan climbing. Combining meticulous planning, exceptional physical endurance, efficient logistics, fixed ropes, helicopter transfers where appropriate, supplementary oxygen, and—most importantly—the strength of an outstanding team of Nepali climbers, he redefined what many believed was possible.
In 2019, through Project Possible, Nimsdai completed all 14 eight-thousanders in just 6 months and 6 days, shattering previous records. His achievements during the project remain extraordinary: he climbed six 8,000-meter peaks in Nepal within 31 days, all five of Pakistan's 8,000-meter peaks in just 23 days, and summited Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu within only 48 hours and 30 minutes.
His climbing style has sparked discussion, as mountaineering has always debated the use of supplementary oxygen, expedition support, speed, risk, and the concept of alpine purity. Yet one fact remains beyond dispute: his impact transformed modern high-altitude mountaineering. Nimsdai demonstrated that multiple 8,000-meter peaks could be climbed within weeks rather than over many years, inspiring a new generation of climbers to pursue goals once considered unattainable.
Perhaps his greatest contribution was elevating Nepali climbers to the forefront of the global mountaineering community. For decades, they were the backbone of Himalayan expeditions, yet rarely received equal recognition. In 2021, Nimsdai stood alongside nine fellow Nepali climbers on the first winter ascent of K2, where the team reached the summit together while singing Nepal's national anthem—a defining moment in mountaineering history. Nimsdai completed that ascent without supplementary oxygen, further demonstrating his exceptional ability.
Records are meant to be broken, but true pioneers are remembered for changing the limits of human belief. Before Nimsdai, climbing all 14 eight-thousanders in less than a year seemed impossible. After Nimsdai, an entirely new generation began planning expeditions measured in months rather than years. That is the legacy of a true trailblazer—someone who didn't just break records, but forever moved the line of what humanity believed was possible.
PRAY FOT NIMSDAII AND CLIMBERS.

In loving memory of Nimsdai - the man who changed mountaineering forever. Before him, the world saw Nepalese climbers as background support - the silent force carrying the loads and clearing the path so others could take the credit. He changed that narrative forever, proving
one of the worlds most accomplished mountaineers — nirmal purja — is among the climbers still missing after a massive avalanche on broad peak in pakistan.
this screenshot has been circulating through the mountaineering community and appears to show the reported garmin tracking data climbers have been discussing since the avalanche.
i have not independently verified the image but according to purjas longtime climbing partner mingma david sherpa his satellite gps tracker has continued to report changing locations.
