The customer journey isn’t a funnel.
It’s a loop.
People explore, evaluate, purchase, and experience… then start over (or tell others).
Be present in the loop, not just the pipeline.

A painful lesson in marketing:
not everything that can be measured matters.
The eBay story is a reminder that more data doesn’t always mean better decisions. Sometimes, the real insight only comes when we’re brave enough to question the story the dashboard wants to tell us.
If your strategy relies on the algorithm behaving, it’s not a strategy.
I see this happen a lot:
✅ A team spends weeks on a blog post.
✅ They publish it on a Tuesday.
✅ They post it on LinkedIn once.
❌ Crickets. “Guess it wasn’t a good topic.” 🥴
“We’ll post it and see how it does” is not a strategy. It’s a wish.
If you want results, you need distribution — the kind that doesn’t depend on platform whims.
This means:
• Teasing the idea in advance
• Sending it to your email list
• Breaking it into 3-5 social posts
• Sharing it internally so your team can amplify
• DMing it to that 1 person who literally asked for this last week
Good content deserves more chances to get seen.
Visibility isn’t luck. It’s strategy.
Growth = learn, learn, learn… and learn.
Branding = show up, show up, show up… and show up.
Success = try, try, try… and try.
Marketing = test, test, test… and test.
Strategy = plan, plan, plan… and plan.
Leadership = listen, listen, listen… and listen.
