硕士毕业那年修Hull的课，为了博关注，我每次都坐第一排积极举手发言课后约office hour。我当时有三条路，去念行为经济学的博士，去央行做经济学家，去业界做量化—— 我不知道怎么选，我想借他的智慧。

博关注成功之后长谈几次，我还是犹犹豫豫不知道怎么选。Hull介绍了个人给我，一个当时在业界量化交易的大牛，是他的学生，也曾问过他一样这三个选择，而且走完了三条路：先去念了博士然后去央行最后去了业界。Hull原话说他教了那么多学生”he is way more superior than all the rest”

和大牛先生的谈话我至今印象深刻。他问我：你用什么语言。我说：英语。我记得他进嘴的披萨是怎么掉出来 —— 于是我反应过来是问编程语言，但因为我从三方视角觉得自己实在太滑稽忍不住爆笑。可能我笑得太过爽朗，大牛先生觉得：老教授介绍来的人确实有两把刷子不但不紧张还会幽他一默…

那次谈话并没能帮我做出选择。但是我在感谢信里写，我发现你的思维方式是构建一切为概率，由此来做决策，推断终点，以终为始。大牛先生的回复是：我现在理解Hull为什么让我们聊下。

故事到这显得常规又无趣。其实这些不是重点。

重点是毕业后我选了去业界的那条路。做了几年很quant的交易风控、交易策略研究，事业发展顺利但和幻想里的明星交易员差十万八千里。大牛先生有一个我当时觉得很BS，而后很多年时常拿出来反刍的理论。他说：给你在我的基金里安排一个交易员的职位很容易，明天就可以。但是我知道你会要去更远的地方，但是我看不见是哪里。所以我当下做的以为是帮你的事情，很可能是限制了你。

这是故事一，我叫它，不介入他人因果的善意。年幼的我虽然不懂，但大为震撼。

后来我要去做区块链了的时候，那还是很早期骗子横行不好意思说出口的时候。我向来犹犹豫豫没法决策，大牛先生说：是真的感兴趣相信这个方向？如果我现在给你1M还去吗？10M？100M？你应该问自己这个问题。

这种思维方式是入门经济学里的定价模型：最低多少钱能让人接受？最多多少钱能让人放弃？我问了自己这个问题，当时btc还不到$100，我觉得给我$1M我可以不改行。但是我还是改了。这是行为经济学入门的定价模型：假设人类是理性决策者是错误的，脑袋和行为并不一定一致。

这是故事二，我叫它，我是如何愚蠢又幸运地走到了今天。

说回到Hull。我在毕业典礼后找到他表达感谢，用了很多溢美之词来感谢他帮助我选择人生的方向。他没有谦虚，只是带着些悠远的淡淡然，他说：完全没必要感谢他，不论是他还是别人，一切的指引和建议都是无足轻重的。一个人终究会走到她自己要去的道路上，中间或者有一些转折，你以为是转折，其实不是的，都是必经之路。你终究会去到你本就要去的地方。

这是故事三，它仿佛是给前两个故事完成了注脚。那些你终将去做的事，那些你终将要走的路。

后来有幸在朋友家和加措活佛交流。在场的朋友们都提了各种问题和经历。活佛说的最多的一句话便是：都是必经之路。

如此幸运，在生命里曾遇到这些闪闪发光的人。
