Overnight, Russia launched an attack on Ukrainian energy facilities, damaging power generation, transmission and distribution systems in various regions, including Ukraine's largest hydroelectric power plant, the Dnipro hydroelectric power plant in Zaporizhzhia.
Many towns and cities were partially or completely cut off from electricity.
Seems that Russians not had enough of the terrible disaster at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant last year.
Ukraine needs weapons and air defense against Russian terrorism and genocide.
This is the historic centre of #Odesa after the night attack by Russia. The main city’s cathedral is ruined. Some of the #UNESCO sites severely damaged.

Great brainstorming meeting of our new program hosted by @CEUDemInst and @EUI_Schuman on EU enlargement - we will focus on how the EU and the enlargement process should change in the face of the new wave of enlargement (especially the accession of Ukraine). We will bring together academics, experts and politicians from various institutions (with a special role for colleagues from Ukraine).
The owners of this house do not have home anymore.
80+ settlements are at risk of being flooded. 16k+ people are already in the critically flooded area.
And @UN celebrates the russian language day, while #russia continues committing genocide and ecocide.
No wonder Navalnaya never mentioned during her Oscar speech the war in Ukraine led by Russia, if you think that Navalny’s close aide lobbied for the lifting of sanctions against oligarchs close to Kremlin.
That’s all you need to know about the so-called Russian opposition.
My explainer for official website of #Ukraine on Ukraine’s #EU integration.

@gonetrollinggif@ChakhoyanAndrew Lol, giving links to Russian websites 😂 why don’t you give me a link to RT or solovyov and call it a day. Falsifying history, weaponizing culture, spreading propaganda, co-opting, Russifying and assimilating elites and whole nations are the things Russia is truly talented in
@gonetrollinggif@ChakhoyanAndrew FYI, both were Ukrainians. And a great example of Russian cultural propaganda and appropriation. Repin’s last name was Ripa, he is a from an old Cossack family. Both knew Ukrainian and identified themselves with it.
@gonetrollinggif@ChakhoyanAndrew You are seriously trying to make an argument based on a picture by an unknown artist? Lol. And oh yes, using whataboutism is a powerful tactics in a discussion, indeed.
It’s high time to break the curved mirrors to uncover the #truth about the imperial view modern #Russia presents on history and modernity through its cultural offensive in the West.

An interesting statistics by @YouGov. Only 10% of 🇩🇪 are ready to fight in case of Russia’s invasion.
In Dec 2021, 50%+ of 🇺🇦 were willing to resist. And it is far harder to be willing to fight when Russian horde is already at your borders.
