Yuan Doctor is a free, multilingual clinical decision-support platform for licensed physicians. It offers hundreds of bedside calculators and scores, guideline-based decision tools, and step-by-step care pathways. Calculations run locally in the browser; patient data are not uploaded.
Purpose
The library is large (515 clinical tools and 348 pathways). Searching that catalog on every shift is slow. My drawer solves that by putting favorites and recently used items on the homepage.
The label on the screen is explicit: Favorites & recent · stored on this device only. Tools you star or open again appear here automatically. Nothing in the drawer is sent to a server as part of this feature; it stays on that phone or computer. That matches the platform’s local-first design and hospital data-security expectations.
The drawer is split into two tabs:
Clinical tools — scores and calculators (e.g. TSAT, MELD-Na, eGFR, Centor, UFH dosing, Mini-Cog)
Care pathways — structured diagnostic/management trees (e.g. Kawasaki disease diagnosis)
A starred item (the gold star on TSAT in the screenshot) is a pinned favorite; the others are recent or frequently opened tools.
How physicians use it
Faster bedside work. On rounds, in ED, or at the nursing station, the doctor opens the homepage and taps a familiar tile instead of hunting by specialty. Typical uses of the tools shown:
TSAT — iron status / anemia workup
MELD-Na — liver-disease severity and transplant priority
eGFR — kidney function and dosing
Centor — pharyngitis / strep decision
UFH dosing — unfractionated heparin protocols
Mini-Cog — brief cognitive screen
Kawasaki pathway — pediatric diagnostic criteria and next steps
Personal workflow, not a generic menu. A hepatologist’s drawer will fill with MELD and related scores; an internist or ED doctor will accumulate Centor, eGFR, and sepsis-related tools. Over time the homepage becomes that clinician’s own kit.
Complements “Shift packs.” Shift packs bundle tools by duty scenario (night ED, morning rounds, stroke code) for one-tap opening. My drawer is individual memory; shift packs are shared, time-of-day or scenario kits. Together they cut search time when minutes matter (the homepage even surfaces a “Recommended now / Stroke code” pack).
Reference, not autopilot. Every tool is meant for licensed physicians, with transparent formulas and guideline citations. Results support judgment; they do not replace it or constitute a diagnosis or prescription.16e60a
