1. Make the exemption limit for income tax as 15 lacs.

2. Increase 80C limit to 5 lacs

3. Introduce infrastructure bonds with income tax deduction which were prevalent earlier helping government get funds for infrastructure and helping tax payer save taxes

4. Either have LTCG or STT. Keeping both contradicts the rationale for which LTCG was introduced

5. Tax payers should be rewarded with free medical insurance upto 5 lacs, subsidised home and education loans, priority passes at Airports and other public places

6. New regime is nothing great as it gives no exemption for tuition fees or insurance or retirement planning and housing loan benefits. Give these exemptions in new regime if you really want to help middle class
