Palm oil helps us during this Corona Virus period when we are forced to stay at home as food preparation is easier if palm cooking oil ( very affordable) is available in the house. Our other commodity, natural rubber helps with making rubber gloves available.

IPOC 2019 Started this morning and palm oil prices are rising as the market is more aware of the real supply and demand outlooks for the near future.

The recent CPOPC seminar called POSDOC was able to clearly forecast that palm oil production will increase only by 2.5 million tonnes in 2020 due to recent drought and less fertilizer application because of low prices but local biodiesel demand will increase by 5 million tonnes.
