Self-management is vital to asthmatics. That’s why I want to hear views from asthmatics and HCP’s on asthma care in primary care (and how it can be transformed), for my EPQ. Please fill in this survey and share :) https://t.co/RgNHVBoJqK
@mancunianmedic@SnotSurgeon@patientsco do a great job with sending a digital copy to pt’s before prompting admin team to post out if the digital letter wasn’t read within 48/72 hours of being sent. Best of both, saving with each digital letter and offering a letter in the post if that’s what patients need.
My week started with a patient yelling at me that I was a “f*cking neglectful disgrace” & “I’m taking you to court”.
My week ended with another patient telling me “you should be ashamed of yourself”.

OTD 1 year ago, I’d finished the sharing of my survey results of my EPQ (A-level project) on asthma. Never did I think that I’d end up presenting an abstract @PCRSUK at the age of 18. 🧵

They are always super busy on the ward doing bloods/cannulas/ECGs & chasing things.
They also draft discharge letters ready for our medical team to approve & prescribe on!

This project was completed by partners from @HuddersfieldUni and the School of human and life sciences. This CARA framework with allow health professionals to effectively engage with population groups who are traditionally underserved. How can really listening improve services?
💯 this. A silent scandal. Hundreds of thousands of people with lung conditions don’t have a formal diagnosis. How can we treat effectively (reducing winter pressures and NHS resources) if we don’t accurately diagnose? ⬇️🫁

It will also save the NHS money and work.
The NHS needs to invest urgently to help itself and it’s respiratory patients!
