Pleasure working with our long-standing partner @GypsyTravellerM providing an authentic and safe space to the men from the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities to share their views ahead of The TM annual conference. Thank you @hmpfosseway@MagdalenaSerej@k_tsintsadze
Thanks to our wonderful colleagues from @ZMTRUST for hosting us today and meeting with their Romani Gypsy and Irish Traveller group in HMP Fosse Way. Amazing work.

The next day @HMP_Humber with @k_tsintsadze to discuss the experiences of ethnic minority prisoners and ways of building better relations with staff. No magic wands but a drive to implement positive change and engaging leadership are key to inclusion for all! #YPG_D&I #ZMT
Very productive week in @YorksPrisons! In partnership with @ZMTRUST@k_tsintsadze visited #HMP_Hull for an equalities meeting and prisoner race forum. Both insightful in terms of positive practice and areas we can build on for both staff and prisoners. 1/2

Delighted to see @HMPHewell in Green again for the graduation of our 2nd cohort of Equality Advocates. An excellent example of utilising peer-led work & engaging with ethnic minority prisoners to implement innovative & effective ideas #diversity#inclusion#Equality @HMPHewellGov
I’m on my way to the sixth prison this week: met with some incredible people who live & work there, observed their routine struggles, shared with them the burden of despair and the pressure of finding hope. I’m angry at the silence & ignorance that enables the politics of denial.
