A President.
A proud father.
A beloved leader.
A loving husband.
A highly educated scholar.
A Nobel Peace Prize Winner.
Has a beautiful state of the art Center made to honor his legacy and celebrate community.
And living rent free in the minds of every envious racist bigot. 🇺🇸
Dear Former President Barack Obama and Former First Lady Michelle Obama,
I’ve watched you and your children attacked with a ferocity and cruelty that defy any sense of decency and that certainly have no precedent.
I’ve watched your birthplace called into question, your personal faith ridiculed, your patriotism mocked, your gender contested, and your very humanity discounted.
I’ve watched you endure the incessant, bitter venom of those for whom the color of your skin was always going to be a problem.
And through all of it, I’ve watched you be the better humans, always going high despite their sickening depths.
In the face of a sustained, spitting, violent, raw-throated hatred, you’ve never responded in kind.
You never allowed yourselves to be defined by the bigotry of your critics, and you never dehumanized them or let them win by becoming them.
I, Too
BY LANGSTON HUGHES
I, too, sing America.
I am the darker brother.
They send me to eat in the kitchen
When company comes,
But I laugh,
And eat well,
And grow strong.
Tomorrow,
I’ll be at the table
When company comes.
Nobody’ll dare
Say to me,
“Eat in the kitchen,”
Then.
Besides,
They’ll see how beautiful I am
And be ashamed—
I, too, am America.
I love this.
The Obamas honoring Nancy Pelosi with a garden in her name is so well deserved.
Without Nancy Pelosi, there would be no Affordable Care Act.
To George and Laura, Bill and Hillary — we're grateful for your friendship, counsel, and devotion to this country. And to Joe and Jill, thank you for being on this journey with us.
What I love about this photo is that every one of these women has a Master's Degree, JD, or PHD. All professionals. All loyal wives. Great mothers to their kids/grandkids. And all are successful in their own right. If Barbara Bush or Rosalyn Carter were still alive, they would be the exception. We have made great progress. One day, a woman will be the President of our country. One day soon. #ObamaPresidentialCenter
This is Adam Hoffman. He repeatedly raped a Texas boy — for nearly three years — dozens and dozens of times.
Tomorrow morning, May 25th 2026, he will be released from McLennan County Jail after spending just a few weeks there. He will not be required to register as a sex offender. And very soon he’ll be allowed to practice law again.
A real and dangerous predator — a present threat to Texas children — will be as free as you and me. A slap on his wrist and a spit in the face to his victim.
Why?! How?!
Because that’s the deal he made with Ken Paxton.
Vote accordingly.
Reminder that formerly enslaved Black people started Memorial Day. It was initially called Decoration Day as they decorated the graves of Union troops.
“As He died to make men holy let us die to make men free”
Originally called Decoration Day, Black Americans interred the bodies of fallen Union soldiers to honor their sacrifice — now known as Memorial Day. Decades later, my great-grandfather served our nation in WWI. Then my grandfather took post in WWII and the Korean War. Today and every day, I honor their sacrifice by fighting for rights they were denied in a country they loved, knowing freedom will prevail if we refuse to give up the battle.
No nation, no society, and no international order can call itself just and humane if it measures its success solely by power or prosperity while neglecting those who live at the margins. Indeed, Christ’s love for the least and the forgotten compels us to reject every form of selfishness that leaves the poor and the vulnerable invisible.
