The Taliban’s misogynist agenda is a brutal attempt to erase women from Afghanistan society, but it is an effort that is ultimately doomed to fail. Women’s voices, bolstered by resilience, cultural legacy, and international solidarity, cannot be silenced. The face and voice of women are too deeply ingrained in the fabric of society to be removed by any regime. The Taliban may control the streets, but they cannot control the indomitable spirit of women who, despite the odds, will continue to rise, resist, and reclaim their rightful place in society.
