🚆 દિલ્હી–એનસીઆર RRTS એ ઉદાહરણ છે કે રિજનલ રેલ કેવી રીતે મોબિલિટી અને અર્થતંત્ર બંનેને બદલી શકે છે.

During 26/11, Mumbai saw some extraordinary acts of bravery by security forces and civilians who risked their own lives to save others.

However, few know about the ‘pawsome’ gang of four—Max, Tiger, Sultan and Ceaser—all sniffer dogs from Mumbai Police’s Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad, whose nose for explosives not only saved countless lives but also salvaged Mumbai from what could have been a tragedy of enormous proportions.

During the 26/11 attacks, Max sniffed out an astounding haul of 8 kg of RDX, 25 grenades, four detonators, ball bearings and shrapnel.
Sultan and Tiger both helped in the 26/11 investigations and bomb detection.

Last but not least is Ceasar, who was declared a hero after sniffing out two hand grenades at the CSMT railway station as well as 8 kg of RDX from the Taj Hotel premises.

The end of an era came with Max’s demise, who passed away due to old age on April 8, 2016. It was heartbreaking to see the remaining three refusing to leave Max’s grave after he was given a state funeral.

Such was their friendship that the remaining three couldn’t handle the loss of their friend, and in six months, they also passed away.

Gone but never forgotten, The Better India remembers these unsung heroes, without whose contribution Mumbai might have had to witness more bloodshed and mayhem.

On November 2, 2025, as the Women in Blue lifted their first-ever ICC World Cup, one man stood quietly in the background — Amol Muzumdar.

A domestic legend with over 11,000 runs, Amol spent two decades waiting for a national call-up that never came.

He played alongside greats like Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid, but his own India cap never arrived.

Most would have walked away.

But Amol didn’t. He turned his heartbreak into purpose.

In 2023, he took charge as head coach of the Indian women’s team.

Two years later, he led them to glory, guiding Harmanpreet Kaur and her team to lift the World Cup for the very first time.

In the stands, his father stood among the crowd; eyes glistening, heart swelling with pride.

The man who never got to wear the India jersey gave the country one of its proudest cricketing moments.

A story of patience, passion, and poetic justice — where destiny finally smiled back.

🦁ગોંડલ રાજકુટુંબના 16 સભ્યોની રસોઈ માટે દરરોજ બળતણ માટેના લાકડા વહીવટદાર ચિઠ્ઠી લખી આપે એટલા કાઢી આપવામાં આવતા. એકવખત થોડા મહેમાનો આવ્યા આથી વધુ લોકોની રસોઈ બનાવવાની હતી. આ દિવસે પણ બળતણ માટેના લાકડા તો રોજના જેટલા જ આપ્યા હતા. મહારાજાને જ્યારે આ વાતની ખબર પડી ત્યારે રસોયાને બોલાવીને કહ્યું, "16 માણસોની રસોઈ માટે જેટલા લાકડા વાપરે છે એનાથી જો વધુ માણસો માટેની રસોઈ બની શકતી હોય તો એનો મતલબ એ કે તું બળતણનો બગાડ કરે છે.રાજ્યને તારા કારણે થયેલા નુકસાનની ભરપાઈ માટે તારા પગારમાથી દર મહિને 2 રુપિયાનો દંડ વસુલ કરવાનો હું હુકમ કરું છું."

🧐એકવખત ભગવતસિંહજીના દરબારમાં એક ગઢવીએ મહારાજાના વખાણ કરતા અદભૂત દુહાઓ ગાયા. સૌ દરબારીઓને લાગતું હતું કે બાપુ આ ગઢવીને માલામાલ કરી દેશે પણ બાપુએ બહુ મામુલી ભેટ આપી. 🧐ભગવતસિંહજીએ ગઢવીનું સન્માન કરતા કહ્યું," જો હું તમને મોટી ભેટ આપું તો ભેટની લાલચને લીધે ઠેરઠેરથી લોકો અહીં આવીને મારા સાચા ખોટા ગુણ ગાવા લાગે. જો આવું થાય તો મને એનો નશો ચડે અને હું અભિમાની બની જાવ. આવું ના થાય એટલા માટે હું તમને આ સામાન્ય ભેટ આપું છું."

🔷એકવખત લોખંડના ભાવમાં અચાનક ઉછાળો આવતા ટાંચણીના ભાવ ખુબ વધી ગયા. ભગવતસિંહજી બાપુએ બાવળના દાંતણ વેંચેનારા લોકોને બોલાવીને કહેલું કે દાંતણ કાપવા જાવ ત્યારે ત્યાંથી બાવળન સુળો ભેગી કરીને સાથે લાવજો અને કચેરીમાં જમા કરાવ દેજો. બીજી તરફ કચેરીમાં પણ સૂચના અપાવીકે જ્યાં સુધી ટાંચણીના ભાવ ના ઘટે ત્યાં સુધી ટાંચણીના બદલે બાવળની સુળો વાપરો.*

⭕️એકવખત ગોપાલકૃષ્ણ ગોખલે પુનાની ફરગ્યુશન કોલેજ માટે દાન લેવા ગોંડલ આવ્યા. ગોંડલ મહારાજાએ બહુ મોટી રકમનું દાન આપ્યું એટલે ગોખલેજી રાજી થઇ ગયા. એમણે મહારાજાને કહ્યું, "નામદાર, કોલેજના કોઈ ખંડ કે વિભાગને આપનું નામ આપીએ" મહારાજાએ કહ્યું,"👏આ નાણાં રાજ્યના ભંડોળમાંથી આપ્યા છે. રાજ્યનું ભંડોળ મારું નથી પણ પ્રજાનું છે આથી મારું નામ નથી રાખવું પણ મારી પ્રજાને લાભ થાય એવું કરો. ફરગ્યુશન કોલેજમાં મારા ગોંડલ રાજ્યના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ માટે કાયમી ધોરણે બે સીટ અનામત રાખો." ગોખલેજીએ આ વાત માન્ય રાખી જેનો લાભ આજે પણ ગોંડલ રાજ્યના લોકો લે છે.

📌"આ મારી પ્રજાના પૈસા છે, મારા નામની કોઈ જરૂર નથી."
🚫વહીવટ પ્રજા લક્ષી હોવો જોઈએ, વ્યક્તિ લક્ષી નહીં. યોજનાઓના નામકરણ કે પ્રચારમાં વ્યક્તિગત મોહને બદલે પ્રજાના કલ્યાણને પ્રાથમિકતા આપવી.

📌કન્યા કેળવણી ફરજિયાત અને થાકલાની રચના.
🚫સામાજિક સુધારાઓમાં દીર્ઘદૃષ્ટિ અને સંવેદનશીલતા. દૂરંદેશી રાખીને નારી સશક્તિકરણ, શિક્ષણ અને આંતરમાળખાના પાયાના કામો કરવા.

📌રાજ્યને વેરામુક્ત બનાવવું અને તિજોરીમાંથી ખોટો ખર્ચ ન થવા દેવો.
🚫નાણાકીય શિસ્ત અને કરમુક્તિનો બોજ. વહીવટમાં પારદર્શિતા લાવીને પ્રજાના પૈસાની એક એક પાઈનો યોગ્ય ઉપયોગ થાય તેની તકેદારી રાખવી.

📌સામાન્ય દેશી પહેરવેશ અપનાવવો જેથી ખેડૂત દિલ ખોલીને વાત કરી શકે.
🚫પ્રજા સાથેનો સીધો અને સરળ સંવાદ. સત્તા અને પદનો અહંકાર છોડી, સામાન્ય માણસ સાથે સીધા સંપર્કમાં રહી તેમની મુશ્કેલીઓને મહત્વ આપવું.

📌ખોવાયેલો પુત્ર ન મળે ત્યાં સુધી અનાજનો દાણો ન લેવાની પ્રતિજ્ઞા.
🚫પ્રજા પ્રત્યેની પિતૃતુલ્ય સંવેદના અને જવાબદારી. નેતાએ પોતાને પ્રજાનો સેવક નહીં, પણ પાલક (Guardian) ગણીને દરેક નાગરિકની સુરક્ષા અને સુખની જવાબદારી નિભાવવી જોઈએ.

👆🏻આમ, #ભગાબાપુએ સાબિત કર્યું કે સત્તા એ ભોગવવાનું સાધન નહીં, પરંતુ અદભૂત સેવા કરવાની તક છે. તેમનું શાસન એ વાતની પ્રતીતિ કરાવે છે કે પ્રજાને સાચો રાજાશાહી જેવો પ્રેમ અને સુવિધાઓ મળે તો જ લોકશાહી ખરા અર્થમાં સફળ થઈ શકે છે.
