To be honest, these results make us reconsider how much support there really is for efforts to increase real-world use of Zcash.

Perhaps the idea of Zcash remaining primarily a digital currency is the right choice for many people. As for us, we currently don’t have sufficient resources or regular supporters to sustain this work. It seems that the approximately five months we spent funding these efforts entirely from our own resources did not produce the results we had hoped for.

For this reason, we believe we need to seriously reconsider ZecMap and ZecMarket.

Maybe we should be putting our energy in a different direction.

ZecMap & ZecMarket are two platforms we are building to help pave the way for everyday use within the Zcash ecosystem.

We are moving forward slowly, carefully, and on solid foundations.

Adoption will take time. We are simply one of the teams working to lay these foundations as early as possible.
