One piece of advice I followed that turned out to be a mistake was trying to avoid anything that could end in failure

For a long time
I told myself not to fall deeply in love because most relationships eventually end in heartbreak
I saw people around me get hurt, I experienced it myself, and I convinced myself that avoiding the risk was the smart choice

But then I realized something

Whats worse than getting your heart broken? Never letting yourself truly live

Maybe you'll fail
Maybe the relationship wont last But at least you'll know what it feels like to love without wondering "what if?" for the rest of your life

The same lesson applies to almost everything A career a business a dream Failure isnt the worst outcome Never trying is

Another mistake I made was believing I had to stay on the same path no matter what
I spent almost three years forcing myself down a road that I already knew wasnt right because I thought quitting meant failure

It doesnt

If you realize you're on the wrong path go back
Whether its a job, a friendship, a relationship, or anything else
The longer you stay the harder it becomes to leave

Today I would rather grow old laughing at the things I tried than regret the things I was too afraid to do
