Corruption is not an issue anymore because everyone understands (and even respects) this basic human urge to hoard, to make more money. We even celebrate the top 15-20 billionaires of the nation as some sort of beacons of our culture and pride.
But what gets missed in this razzle-dazzle is that corruption is not just someone making extra money by bending rules - it also means those bent rules KILL people. In building fires, collapses, fake cancer medicines, adulterated foods, drunk driving, and a hundred other ways.
Corruption actually means someone making money by murdering people, murdering us.
The debate is not about the 20 abuses shouted in protest. The real issue is the 20 young lives lost because of the NEET paper leak, lives that no apology, inquiry, or protest can ever bring back.
Ratna Debnath's daughter was raped and murdered when she was a commoner.
Today she is a MLA. In power.
She just said that, in context of a 11 year girl who has been raped -
My daughter and this case is different.
My daughter was in a secure place.
I don't know whether this girl was at home or outdoors.
Ye sab purani govt ke boye beez hai.
Her daughter was raped and murdered.
I thought she will have empathy with a 11 year old rape victim.
We shouldn't be keeping hope in humanity.
The irony: A protest for "Women’s Empowerment" stopped by an empowered woman because they were blocking the road. 🤦♂️
Real empowerment isn't a slogan; it's the lady with the guts to tell them to clear the way. 👏

Kohli insisting Anushka to clap after his over, and then Anushka celebrating his wicket with Kohli-like aggression the very next over. This has to be most sweetest moment from CWC23. 😍 https://t.co/X5a5O8W5hN
