We got our first legit office building in August. 3500 sqft Pole barn with it completely open. We built 2 offices before we had occupancy. Currently building our 3rd for a sales rep.
We didn’t expect to have this issue for another year. I guess increasing rev by $23k will do it
Someone tell me if this is a bad idea:
Mole Miners opens smaller satellite locations. We run our playbook; handle sales, marketing, customer.
We hire a 1099 contractor (maybe a firefighter) who can fulfill the work.
Goal $200k in revenue with 25% PM.
@TimFlynnLeary Entering into a season where i have admin, ops, & sales leadership. Literally don’t know what to do besides focus on marketing… such a weird stage!
When i launched Mole Miners in 2022 someone offered me $50k for 50% of the company. I turned him down because i knew this would be much bigger. I got offered $100k for 5% the other day. Bet on yourself.
@TimFlynnLeary@keyan_concrete Why not fork out 6 Fig salary & a % of profit sharing to someone with great management skills? Then you own the whole location. Set regional managers in place to manage the managers. This will be our process!
Three moments building Handy’s that made me realize we had something incredibly unique on our hands.
1. We had just gotten our first van back from being wrapped and I posted a photo in Tommy Mello’s FB group.
Amongst the HUNDREDS of comments, one said:
“You’ve got a billion dollar brand on your hands…”
I remember thinking “Billion?? Yeah right, who’s this guy…”
Oh. It’s Ken Goodrich.
Holy shit… lol alright I believe it.
2. Flying home from our bachelor/bachelorette trip, we had JUST gotten our first 10 Handy’s hats.
As we were getting off the plane, the flight attendant pulled me aside and said:
“Where did you get that hat? We have all been talking about it the whole flight.”
She handed me a $20 bill for the hat off my head
3. I was walking into Home Depot wearing a Handy’s hat when some random guy runs up and taps me.
“Hey, so random… are you the guys with the ‘Need a Handy?’ yard signs?”
Then proceeds to show me his FAMILY GROUP CHAT where every time one of them sees our yard signs around town, they take a picture and send it to each other and laugh. Epic
My incredibly talented wife created a brand that people notice, remember and talk about. (She COOKED)
And my team and I get to build the company behind it.
Moments like these make me realize we’ve created something really, really….. REALLY unique.
What a country! What a time to be alive!
