“Fifty-four years ago, in 1971, my grandmother Katharine Graham, publisher of The Washington Post, risked everything to stand up to a corrupt president. That president sought to destroy her newspaper’s autonomy. Today, faced with another such president, Jeff Bezos, the paper’s new owner, is tearing down the very newspaper she defended.”
This is the most corrupt President in the history of our country.
But let me be clear: every branch of our government now has corruption that is cancerous and eating away at our democracy.
We must demand change.
ABC News has now taken all FiveThirtyEight articles completely offline. They now redirect to abcnews dot com/politics. A needless erasure of thousands of pages of knowledge.
BTW, I approached ABC about buying back the former FiveThirtyEight IP*, and they said they wouldn't sell at any price because I'd criticized their management of the brand. Costing Disney shareholders $$ b/c of their vindictiveness.
* I own the models but the trademarks, etc.
🚨NEW: 4-Star General James Mattis slams Trump's strategy in Iran, calling it "delusional nonsense."
RETWEET if you are proud to stand with General Mattis against Trump!
An ICE agent in Minneapolis shoved a man to the ground for filming their vehicle. He wasn’t obstructing anything. Courts have ruled recording law enforcement is legal. Assaulting a civilian for doing it likely isn’t.
This black man, William McNeil, was pulled over for not having his headlights on during a slight drizzle in broad daylight.
But really, it’s because he’s black.
No wonder he tried to lock himself in.
This is Jacksonville, Florida
This is Trump’s America.
Because Trump used his emergency economic powers to impose tariffs, any member of Congress can force a vote to terminate them. This is because the National Emergencies Act makes such resolutions "privileged" - if introduced, they must be quicly taken up.
Dems should do this!
In my graduate thesis, I quoted a hardline communist official from Poland in the 1950s who was asked about terrible shortages of food and housing. He said people had to sacrifice and "if that's what it takes to prove the superiority of socialism, it's worth it."
Your dignity honors the bravery of the Ukrainian people.
Be strong, be brave, be fearless.
You are never alone, dear President @ZelenskyyUa.
We will continue working with you for a just and lasting peace.
