A full university-level course on building and controlling real robots.
If you’re into hands-on robotics (designing, fabricating, and making physical robots move) this one deserves a permanent bookmark.📌
University of Michigan’s ROB 311:
How to Build Robots and Make Them Move.
It covers the full pipeline from mechanical design to control, with a capstone ballbot project (balancing on a basketball).
- Mechanical design, modeling, and fabrication
- Rigid-body kinematics, kinetics, and dynamics
- Actuation, sensors, and mechatronics
- Control systems, stability, and multi-task coordination
- Hands-on labs and full ballbot build with code
Full lecture videos, notes, homework, labs, and code… all free.

Hugging Face just released @LeRobotHF a humanoid robot you can build for roughly $2,500!
A full open stack with hardware, simulation, training environments, runtime tools, datasets and robot learning workflows designed to take a humanoid from assembly to real world control.
Key details below.
Personal update: I've joined Anthropic. I think the next few years at the frontier of LLMs will be especially formative. I am very excited to join the team here and get back to R&D. I remain deeply passionate about education and plan to resume my work on it in time.
We’ve released the official Blender add-on for ZOZO’s Contact Solver, our open-source physics solver developed at ZOZO, Inc. Blender users, please take a look!

Wonder if they do math at @openai https://t.co/r81qHELM04 with ChatGPT itself. How did they come up with 29 days remaining when one tries to cancel plan below? Why does is say they'll retain functionality till end of cycle but then say no? Changing seats to Codex also cancels btw
To seek out or hide from sunlight, chloroplasts can move. Their optimized packing helps them photosynthesize while avoiding sun damage. https://t.co/d4HDOi3xS9
“You take water, and just the way you compress it — a little bit faster, a bit slower, up and down, at the right timescale — and then you can find this completely unexpected behavior,” said researcher Marius Millot.

Let your robot turn ordinary video
from a regular phone camera
into a searchable 3D map:
Imagine filming your bedroom with just your phone and then asking, “Where’s my blue backpack?”... and it shows you exactly where it is on a super cool 3D map!
That’s RADIO-ViPE. It turns ordinary video from a regular phone camera into a searchable 3D map you can ask questions about in plain English.
This is without fancy lasers or special gear... just your phone.
Under the hood, it pulls dense “meaning vectors” from the RADIO foundation model for every pixel in the video, then plugs those same vectors straight into bundle adjustment.
So the optimizer fixes the camera poses for perfect geometry and semantic consistency in one single step. It even handles people walking around or stuff getting moved by tracking how steady each pixel’s meaning stays over time.

Zero-To-CAD is now live on Hugging Face. Built during my previous role at Autodesk Research, this work uses a fully synthetic pipeline: GPT-OSS-120B in an agentic CAD loop to generate CadQuery programs with readable history. Includes 1M/100K datasets.
Ever seen AI 2D animation this clean? Not guessing poses anymore!
I used proper movement sheets as reference on Magnific and it changed everything. Here's how 👇
Sincitium is finally here.
We are pleased to present our latest piece: a concept trailer created specifically for the @runwayml Big Pitch Contest. For this project, we wanted to explore a completely different aesthetic from our usual studio style, and this film is the result of that experimentation.
We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed the creative process.
