• Circle received final OCC approval to establish Circle National Trust, bringing USDC infrastructure under a federally regulated trust bank framework.
• USDC served as the preferred stablecoin for the cash leg of transactions behind @The_DTCC’s move into live, production-grade tokenization.
• Marex began allowing clients to post USDC as margin for derivatives, bringing stablecoins into institutional clearing and collateral workflows.
• Circle signed an agreement with JCB, Japan’s largest card network, to explore USDC-powered cross-border payments and merchant transactions.
• Circle Gateway and Circle Payments Network became natively accessible through @FireblocksHQ, making it easier for institutions to manage USDC across chains and settle payments globally.
• Circle joined the @x402Foundation as a founding member, helping establish an open standard for internet-native payments across AI agents, APIs, and applications.
• Circle partnered with Grupo BIND to expand institutional access to USDC in Argentina.
• @BNYglobal highlighted its expanded partnership with Circle during its Q2 earnings call, including new capabilities that allow institutional clients to custody, mint, and redeem USDC through BNY’s banking platform.
Mainstream stablecoin adoption has arrived and it is being powered by Circle & $USDC.
Three weeks ago, @arc Testnet activated the v0.7.2 hardfork, bringing transaction memos and batch transactions to the network.
While the upgrade required testnet node operators to update their infrastructure before activation, its longer-term significance lies in what it unlocked for developers.
Transaction memos enable applications to attach meaningful context to onchain transfers, making it easier to support payment references, invoices, customer IDs and other real-world workflows directly within blockchain transactions.
Batch transactions allow multiple actions to be bundled into a single submission, reducing unnecessary steps and enabling smoother user experiences for wallets, payment apps, and financial applications.
These aren’t flashy features, but they’re the kind of infrastructure improvements that make a network more practical to build on. As developers continue experimenting on Arc Testnet, they’re now working with more expressive transaction capabilities that simplify both application design and the end-user experience.
The v0.7.2 hardfork also reinforced an important reality of blockchain infrastructure: protocol upgrades require coordination. Testnet node operators who upgraded ahead of activation ensured the network remained synchronized, allowing builders to continue developing without disruption.
