Nawiri CBO in Kinango is about transforming lives through peacebuilding, gender inclusivity, interfaith harmony, and youth empowerment. For 6 years, they have created safe spaces where communities thrive, harmful norms are challenged, and young people are given the chance to dream bigger.
Today, as we joined them to celebrate their 6th anniversary, we were reminded of the incredible role Nawiri plays as a mentorship hub for case managers under the Case Management Project. This project has become a turning point for many young people in Kinango offering guidance, support, and opportunities that have helped them rebuild confidence, gain direction, and pursue their goals.
Listening to the testimonials from mentees was powerful many spoke about how their lives have been shaped for the better, and with heartfelt hope, they wished the project would continue to touch more lives. @NawiriCBO

Women are the heart of families, communities, and nations leading, inspiring, and creating change. Today, at SwahiliPot Hub, alongside @infitech_c , @iome254 , and @closethegapk , we celebrated International Women’s Day in appreciation of their impact.
From business to education, leadership to caregiving, their resilience and dedication shape our world. Let’s continue to uplift, support, and stand with them as they break barriers and redefine possibilities. Every woman deserves to be seen, heard, and empowered. Together, we can build a more inclusive and equal future.
Led by our Chief Mentor Mr Mahmoud Noor , today we joined our partner Close the Gap for a special evening celebrating music and impact. The Family Concert, featuring Jef Neve alongside Ghetto Classics, Andy Dhondt, Peter Kindi, and Hanne Roos, was a beautiful showcase of talent and culture. Hosted at Close the Gap Hub, the event brought together music lovers to support the Art of Music Foundation’s mission. It was an inspiring experience, highlighting the power of music to transform lives and uplift communities.

In efforts to provide skilling opportunities to mentees under the Case Management Project following the Self-Discovery curriculum, the project team, in partnership with the Technology Department, Kinango Datacom, and Nawiri CBO, has organized a three-day Digital Literacy Training in Kinango, Kwale County.
This training is a dream come true for 20 mentees who requested it and is receiving a warm reception from the local community. Kinango, a subcounty rich in culture, has seen mentees walk up to 20 kilometers to attend this transformative program.
The Self-Discovery curriculum has redefined their purpose, mindset, and attitudes, making it easier for trainers to impart valuable digital skills. This initiative reflects our commitment to transforming the lives of youth through mentorship, training, and referrals. Together, we are equipping them with the tools they need to create a brighter and more empowered future. #DigitalLiteracy #YouthEmpowerment #TransformingLives
Our first Youth Hub Network (YHN) Meeting of the year was a success! Youth leaders and stakeholders came together to reflect on past achievements, strategize for future impact, and align efforts toward empowering Opportunity Youth. Key priorities included fostering collaboration, building a centralized network, and creating equity in access to opportunities. Through resource sharing, mentorship, and capacity-building, we aim to strengthen youth hubs, enhance sustainability, and deliver meaningful services. This meeting was an inspiring step in shaping a stronger, united youth ecosystem.
Had a productive meeting with our @swahilipothub Youth Advisory Group.
It was a pleasure to review their incredible contributions from the past year and discuss plans for the future.
I'm so proud of their achievements!

Today, I graced the launch of the @Westerwelle_F Startup Haus Mombasa, the 4th hub in Africa after Kigali, Arusha, and Tunis. Located at Mombasa Mall, the hub empowers young entrepreneurs with workspace, networking, and capacity-building programs to address challenges like digital skills and global market access.
An exciting startup pitching session showcased impressive innovations, including Afribot Robotics, Zing App (mental health), Infitech (Infosaas), Stock App, and Kingkidd Ltd Media Studio. These ideas demonstrate Mombasa’s entrepreneurial potential and the importance of such hubs in nurturing innovation.
The event was graced by Mombasa Deputy Governor H.E. Francis Thoya, Senator Hon.
