My conversation with Gabe Stengel (@GabeStengel), founder and CEO of Rogo.

For years, Gabe and I have talked about how much of an investor's job AI will eventually do and how he is building Rogo toward that future.

Today, Rogo helps some of the world's largest financial institutions research companies, run diligence and execute M&A.

But Gabe's ambition is much bigger. He is building toward investing superintelligence, where Rogo does much of the work inside investment banks and firms and becomes the venue where they do their deals.

It's a fascinating business and has been so fun watching Gabe build it.

We discuss:
- 10,000 agents searching for one great investment idea
- Which investing skills will still matter
- Why Anthropic/OpenAI won't win finance
- "Chewing glass"
- Why the harness around the models matters so much
- Getting rejected by 40+ investors
- Building an AI native Bloomberg
- Becoming a black hole for talent

Enjoy!

[Rogo @RogoAI]

Today we're announcing a strategic investment in Rogo from Barclays, BNP Paribas, Citi Ventures, MUFG Innovation Partners, and Societe Generale — joining J.P. Morgan Growth Equity Partners and Truist Ventures among others.

That brings Rogo’s strategic investors to nine global banks across New York, London, Paris, and Tokyo, representing nearly $20T in combined assets.

Rogo now serves 50,000+ professionals across 350+ firms globally. Grateful to our clients, team, and investors for the conviction, and excited to keep building.

@RogoAI is hiring product managers.

Intelligence is no longer the bottleneck for finance... harnessing it at the product layer is.

Our new benchmark for high finance... three thoughts:

1. no single model dominates financial tasks (and gpt5.5 does far better than X sentiment would lead you to believe)

2. model routing across providers can improve workflow quality by 40%

3. most llm benchmarks either sacrifice reasoning auditability for accuracy, or sacrifice accuracy for reasoning auditability... real finance workflows need both

[Gabriel Stengel @GabeStengel]

Future of finance is going to require (1) trust, (2) agent-to-agent transaction protocols, and (3) a lot more last mile product work than most expect. Fun time to try to transform one of the world's most important industries :)

Finance is one of the hardest environments to build AI for because precision and trust matter so much. @GabeStengel, @johnwillettrogo, @TumasRackaitis, and team have built @RogoAI with that reality in mind: a platform that fits the way bankers already work and delivers the auditability, reliability, and workflow depth that leading financial firms require.

Thrilled to lead Rogo’s Series D and excited to partner with the team.

[Rogo @RogoAI]

Today, we’re announcing our $160 million Series D funding, led by @kleinerperkins, with participation from @sequoia, @ThriveCapital, @jpmorgan, and @khoslaventures.

35,000+ financial professionals. 250+ institutions. One platform, purpose-built for finance.

Thank you to our clients, our team, and our investors for their support as we continue building to raise the ceiling for what finance can accomplish.

[Rogo @RogoAI]

We are introducing Felix.

Felix is a purpose-built agent for high finance, designed for long-running, complex workflows and capable of producing decks, models, and documents end-to-end.

Felix executes so you can focus where it matters.

Just wanted to share how deep & thoughtful this answer is, not only it gave me chills, but it’s making me rethink life & existence. Damn! So, we now have the kind of ideas Socrates & Plato once explored, those profound thoughts, to directly help us reflect on ourselves?

Fascinating insights at @AnthropicAI's #SFTechWeek session! Learning about the linear representation hypothesis, sparse autoencoders, and scaling models like Claude 3 Sonnet. Exciting to see how high-dimensional spaces can unlock more features with fewer dimensions!
