Encouraging to see this conversation between @MichaelRWear & @leedrutman — hopefully a sign of more discussions to come between people of faith & the political reform movement! https://t.co/FWmpQJQOZC
I spoke with @leedrutman for @CCPublicLife's publication The Heart of the Public regarding the redistricting maelstrom, and Lee's assessment of the possibilities of real political reform in this time of political and social distrust. https://t.co/x2NlAmp2fe
Ok so, sexting while married, doing counseling, and moving past it with your wife is different from raping women who work for you. I think that should be obvious. Platner Derangement Syndrome is crazy.
Listen to what Graham Platner’s wife has to say about this story. It’s not exactly the scandal it’s being made out to be.
Seems like it only got attention because this former staffer Genevieve McDonald can’t stand to see Platner doing well after she fled his campaign.
I'd just say that if the reason you don't want to support a candidate is because he and his wife chose not to share that they went through marriage counseling to deal with infidelity, that's your choice. But I do think there are other factors in the race that will have more of a direct impact on your life.
It would be better for the unity of the future of the Republic if every state’s Congressional representation mirrored their electorate. For example, Washington State is 40% Republican but Rs hold only 2 out of 10 House seats. For representative Democracy to work, people need to feel like they have a fair chance to participate in it. 🇺🇸
Is Nebraska going to elect an independent to the US Senate? Can Democrats finally flip the 2nd District? Will the “Blue Dot” survive the year?
We talk through all that and more on this week’s @InsideElections podcast with the NE Examiner’s @asanderford —

The destruction of 538's data archives is essentially just digital arson. It's an incredible loss of decades of valuable data, for no real reason beyond "we felt like it".
NEW: President Donald Trump bought and sold millions of dollars worth of stock in tech companies and government contractors including Nvidia and Palantir.
Some of those trades overlapped with regulatory decisions that were favorable to these companies.

"Unlike Dan Osborn, the independent candidate for Senate, Ahlman doesn’t want or expect the Democratic nominee to drop out of his race —a dynamic that will require Ahman’s campaign to catch fire to pull off an upset victory, or complicate Democrats’ plans if they go after the seat."
More on this race, which complicates things in a “reach” Dem seat — Ahlman’s poll says he, like Dan Osborn, can win where a Dem can’t https://t.co/GmYRJNoZ77
