Iโve seen situations like this time and time again in my hospital. Once had a family in tears begging me to convince the Dr to let their Dad have a say in his diabetes management, as he had for decades. The Dr treated them like they were stupid. It was so upsetting.
A nurse in hospital told me I wasnโt allowed to give insulin because my BG levels were normal and Iโd go hypo. I said I was eating food and needed insulin. She said to wait until my blood sugar was higher before being allowed to take insulin to bring it down again? (Continued)
