The main chat area can access & create local files and do web search but cannot otherwise access the internet, the canvas area can access APIs (under some circumstances) but cannot access files.
The main area is sequential, the canvas area requires rewriting every time. I dunno
Rich billionaires worried that it'd be hard to get the security in their post-apocalyptic bunkers to go on obeying them, if the world ended. But when asked if they'd go on taking orders, the securities answered 'Yes' every time! So empirically, an easy problem after all.
the fight for the future is a struggle between technological-driven growth and managed decline.
the growth path has inherent risks and challenges along with its fantastic upside, and the decline path has guaranteed long-term disaster.
stasis is a myth.
The app store of AI is coming.
OpenAI just announced the GPT Store is coming next week, and it's a massive opportunity for early adopters.
Here's a simple 4-step tutorial on how to make a GPT now to profit from this next wave:
One clear theme of recent papers is that there is a lot of juice left in GPT-4.
Even if we never exceeded GPT-4 level performance (unlikely) there are a whole suite of recent findings that good prompting, connecting it to other tools, etc. greatly expands the AI's capabilities.
This is an intriguing paper testing many prompting techniques on GPT-4 & other LLMs, from offering a monetary tip to threatening the AI. It seems like almost everything increases results, with huge gains overall.
However, the methodology is not that clear https://t.co/D8IzJT3WgE
As someone born and raised in Wisconsin, I can make Racine jokes.
It is funny that Midjourney really struggles with making a futuristic Racine or a cyberpunk Racine. They all look like Racine.
Academic journals should not be publishing new studies on “how well AI performs against humans” where the comparison is ChatGPT-3.5 without a good reason. The capabilities of free ChatGPT just don’t tell us much about AI now.
It is an issue because publishing takes many months+.
The ability of Midjourney to do photos of really normal people is impressive. Especially as you can then put them in very odd scenes.
Here are some photos from the Pit of Eels, a terrible, terrible tourist attraction just outside of Racine, Wisconsin that I made up.
