@GameDevMicah Still on the 7700K here ๐ Somehow it still holds strong enough. ๐คทโโ๏ธ However I will not upgrade to a new CPU from the same brand anymore I think.
@Brandibuilds I can confidently disagree. SG has a proper generic inventory system in the works which will make this completely unnecessary as you can surely make your own number of slots.
@Wertandrew Before you ask about PCG. Well with v36.20 Epic secretly added PCG validation to UEFN, but PCG graphs are still disallowed. So maybe v37 will add it.
@Wertandrew No clue what "path" supposed to be in this context. The landscape splines should be nuked as well, we have PCG at home for that. Epic "only" needs to better integrate landscape deformation via PCG graphs.
@AxelCapek When all of you folks talking about JIP problems. In which context does it usually happen? Something automatic? What if I pool the devices and programmatically enable and assign them to players only when needed. Is this also something that falls under JIP issues?
@GameDevMicah@RayBenefield A spherical storm could possibly help or a custom minimap that also uniquely shows the nearby players or something like that.
@DatalusStudios @kamyker Again, we should test other element types as well and other indices. Kamyker tested only index 0 which "could" be optimized under the hood.
But yes inline mutation is expected to be faster than full new allocation.
@TimSweeneyEpic@phasmainmachina@ScorpioRysing Dear Mr. Sweeney, do you have any updates regarding Fortnite on macOS and eventually UEFN on macOS as well? It would be great if we creators could pick our preferred development team platform, after all Fortnite was previously available for macOS in the past and there's UE on mac
