#IranWar
Iranian Christian pastor Farshid Fahti endured 5 brutal years in Iran’s prisons, 361 days in solitary confinement in a tiny 2-meter cell. Regime thugs broke his leg and threatened him with execution.
Now free, he begs world leaders: Don’t abandon the thousands of new protesters still rotting in the same jails.
Over 150 young Iranians have already been executed since March.
“Iranians feel abandoned,” he warns. “Don’t leave them to die.”
Happy Birthday, Hero! 🌹
Today marks the 39th birthday of Hamid Mahdavi (b. 1987), the Iranian firefighter who carried an injured protester to safety during the January uprising and was later shot dead by the regime.
RIP

Mazyar Arianfar (25) was already bleeding when they took him.
Arrested while injured in Tehran’s Cheragh-Bargh area during the Jan 2026 protests, Mazyar has been traded from a street to a cell instead of a hospital. The regime uses untreated wounds as a tool to break the will of its youth.
We must demand his immediate transfer to a medical facility and his unconditional release! BE HIS VOICE! #IranMassacre
@holyspacemonkey And I'd really love to see a bio pic about Jody Gilbert. Only recently I have discovered her and would love to learn more (than IMDb and Wikipedia) about her. I first saw her in "House by the River" (1950), then found her in "Star Dust" (1940) , "Ninotchka" (1939) and "Chasing
„Wenn das Insektensterben so weitergeht wie bisher, dann droht uns eine Situation wie in Teilen Nordamerikas oder China, wo die Pflanzen, von denen wir abhängig sind, von Menschen bestäubt werden müssen, weil die Bestäuber, die das bisher kostenfrei gemacht haben, nicht mehr da sind. Das sind unfassbare volkswirtschaftliche Schäden.“

Increasing number of reports that the Iranian people in Dehdasht poured into the streets and physically blocked the roads during the search for the U.S. pilot, in order to prevent IRGC forces from reaching the pilot’s location.
Same water. Same tank.
But the one on the right has oysters.
A single oyster can filter up to 50 gallons of water a day.
Oyster reefs in the Chesapeake Bay once filtered the entire Bay, 19 trillion gallons, in under a week.
Today, with less than 1% of the original oyster population remaining, it takes over a year.
We ate them. We dredged their reefs. We dumped nitrogen into their water until the algae blooms choked what was left.
And now we build billion dollar water treatment plants to do what oysters did for free.
The Billion Oyster Project is working to restore oyster reefs in New York Harbor.
Restored reefs in Maryland's Harris Creek can now filter the entire creek in under 10 days and remove nitrogen equivalent to 20,000 bags of fertilizer every year.
Nature had this figured out. We just have to restore the oysters and get out of the way.
There is no such thing as "eco-friendly glitter."
Regular glitter is a microplastic. It enters waterways, gets eaten by fish, and accumulates up the food chain.
Biodegradable glitter was supposed to fix this. It breaks down over weeks instead of lasting centuries.
But research from Anglia Ruskin University found that some biodegradable glitter was actually more damaging to aquatic plant growth than conventional plastic glitter due to metal additives in the coating.
The EU banned plastic glitter in 2023. The US hasn't.
Should we ban it next?
🚨⛓️ MURDERED UNDER TORTURE
While the world is distracted by the military tensions between Iran, the US, and Israel, the IRGC has tortured a disabled young man to death in Ahvaz.
Hossein Ghavi (Silawi), a 28-year-old from Ahvaz, was abducted from his small tea stall, his only source of income for his family. Despite having a physical disability in his leg, he was subjected to brutal torture in an IRGC intelligence detention center.
The regime accused this hardworking young man of "filming bombed areas" and "communicating with foreign entities." He was murdered under torture.
The Islamic Republic is using the fog of war and the digital blackout to carry out a silent killing of the most vulnerable citizens.

‼️ #Peyvand_Naeimi is a 30-year-old Bahá'í citizen, a swimming and water polo champion, dog trainer and behaviourist from Kerman. Peyvand was arrested on January 8 and was shown on state TV giving forced confessions. He faces imminent danger after enduring 2 mock hangings, prolonged torture and interrogation, as Islamic Republic authorities attempt to force him to confess to crimes he did not commit. He was arrested on January 8 on false charges of instigating unrest during the January protests and taken to an IRGC detention centre. During brief conversations with family during visits, he “broke down in tears” from the extreme psychological pressure. #StopExecutionsInIran

🩸 2 more Execution at Dawn: Vahid Bani-Amerian & Abolhassan Montazer
At dawn today, April 4, 2026, the Islamic Republic executed political prisoners Vahid Bani-Amerian (34) and Abolhassan Montazer (66) in Ghezel Hesar Prison. They were hanged in secret, denied even a final goodbye to their families.
Vahid was a brilliant mathematician and K. N. Toosi University graduate first arrested in 2017 for protesting. Abolhassan was an elderly resident of Tehran. Their "trial" under Judge Iman Afshari lasted only minutes, based on confessions extracted through brutal torture and electric shocks.
With their death, all six defendants in this case have been executed in a single week: Pouya Ghobadi, Babak Alipour, Akbar Daneshvarkar, Mohammad Taghavi, Vahid Bani-Amerian, and Abolhassan Montazer.

New Yorkers and tourists are flocking to Bryant Park to get a glimpse of New York City’s hottest bird this spring, the American Woodcock. These elusive, well-camouflaged birds pause during their migration to forage for earthworms, presenting a unique urban birding opportunity.
Iranian authorities confirmed the execution of political prisoners Babak Alipour and Pouya Ghobadi on Tuesday, a day after two other individuals connected to the same case were hanged.
During proceedings in Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court, eight defendants including two who were not sentenced to death denied all charges of armed rebellion against the state. Several defendants and their lawyers told the court that their confessions had been obtained under torture and other forms of mistreatment. Despite these claims, the court sentenced six of the men to death and issued prison sentences for all eight.
Pouya Ghobadi was also given an additional prison sentence for attempting to leave the country. Meanwhile, Mohammad’s brothers, Ali and Mojtaba Taghavi Sangdehi, received prison terms of two years and six years and seven months, respectively, on charges related to national security offenses.
In the final hours of last night, Sunday, prison guards and security forces at Qezel Hesar Prison, #Iran, attacked and beat political prisoners and forcibly removed at least 22 prisoners, including my brother Ali Younesi, from Ward 4. This incident occurred simultaneously with the transfer of Akbar Daneshvarkar and Mohammad Taghavi for the execution of their death sentences.
The families of these prisoners have no information about the condition or whereabouts of their loved ones. Today, unlike previous days, Ali did not make his usual phone call to my mother.
Among the prisoners who were transferred to an unknown location and whose situation has remained unclear since last night are:
Babak Alipour, Vahid Bani-Amerian, Pouya Ghobadi, Abolhassan Montazer, Saeed Masouri, Ahmadreza Haeri, Afshin Baymani, Hamzeh Savari, Ali Younesi, Sepehr Emam-Jomeh, Reza Mohammad Hosseini, Akbar Bagheri, Ali Moezi, Meysam Dehban Zadeh, Loghman Aminpour, Arsham Rezaei, and Hossein Ramezani.
This is wild! A HUUUGE 1000 mile wall of Saharan dust is sweeping across northwest Africa right now and pushing toward the Canary Islands.
