One of my former pupils has just published her first novel! She’s been an incredible writer since Year 2, and now in Year 7, her love for storytelling continues to shine. We are sooo proud of her!
Don’t underestimate the impact your kindness can have on someone. From sending a text to a friend to let them know how you appreciate them, to saying ‘have a nice day’ to a shop assistant, you could give someone the little boost they need. #WorldMentalHealthDay

@TheAuDHDECT@WhiteRoseMaths Do a like fluent in 5 at the beginning of every lesson? Plan for qs that you feel your chn struggle with. Might not be enough, but over time, I have seen a diff from doing this. Numicon is gd for perimeter. Helps them see it. If you have to follow WRM, just use it alongside?😊
@TeacherBusy I actually live in Qatar and have for the last 4 years - 90% of the stuff you see on the news/ in the papers is massively glorified or untrue
@_MissieBee 5x50 min writing lessons with SPaG strs for grammar. At the start of the year we teach GR carousal style, then we move to 4x50 mins whole class reading lessons later in yr to tch reading skills. We use read2write scheme for writing. Phonics everyday for 30 mins in morning.
@MissHPrimary_@MrTs_NQTs Songs are one of my fave ways to do this - lots of good, memorable ones on YouTube too. You can’t teach it securely in 4 lessons, but can start teaching them to recognise patterns etc within the timestables e.g. multiples of 10 end in 0, 2s are even, 5s end in 0 or 5 etc. x

All you need is a wb pen & some #Numicon tiles & you have a visual introductory approach to teaching greater than & less than in #KS2
Generalise: symbol opens up to number w/ greatest value
Rehearse & apply rule to larger numbers (pictorial ➡️ abstract)
@MissSamuel@MrTs_NQTs I started mine in my second year , but chose to do it part-time instead. I have found it really manageable with doing it part-time☺️
@lmeducational@kateowbridge Didn’t get the job as Maths Lead which pushed me to start a Masters in Educational Leadership. I have recently just been offered said job and now also have my Masters😀
