@NCRCisLIT A4: I've already started doing the list of things for kids that we saw in the video. Not as in depth yet because that's intimidating... but I have learned quite a bit about my kids by changing our way morning meetings up. I love the idea of a summer book club too!
@mrsschmidtabc@NCRCisLIT If I read outside of school is baby books or picture books at the moment! Aha Haven't had time. Audio books have been useful, but I don't think I count that as reading for myself...
@Cberens05@NCRCisLIT Restart is a good one for bullying too! My boys are loving it and they've been difficult to find books for. I'll have to look into these for a couple girls in my class...
@Melissa82466090@NCRCisLIT I haven't read dogman books yet, but I bought them for my class and they're Lways checked out! Are they good? I mean do you enjoy reading them with your son?
@NCRCisLIT A3:We really have enjoyed "How to steal a dog." Its about a girl who tries to help her family by stealing a dog for the reward money. Lots of good ethics questions and friendship themes. I've read it 3/4 years I've taught upper grades (4 and 5)
@Melissa82466090@NCRCisLIT We've departmentalized this year, but I did this last year a couple times. This year they're enjoying books that my students last year gifted me during book fair.
@NCRCisLIT A2: I always try to find one that is fun but has a good lesson it it. Sometimes it has to do with things that are happening in our class at the moment, sometimes just for fun.
@_carliewilson@Heather29661885@NCRCisLIT I always try to say something like that too. I feel so bad when they look like they did something wrong then! Slowly but surely those looks happen less and less as the year goes on
@jmeleestag @_carliewilson@NCRCisLIT Oh my gosh you have to look them up! Mr. Greg is a kinder teacher and he's just awesome! He does giveaways and stuff too. Look on facebook or @kindersmorgie
