@JeromySonne@danharmon @chojuroh So true. You are not you're feelings. When expressing them, try saying "I feel scared/sad/happy/etc." not "I am scared/sad/happy/etc." It'll change your perspective. Don't forget to acknowledge the good ones too. You can always find something good in the shittiest of days.
So, @YouTube knows how addictive reels are, and a while back they became the first thing you see when you open the app. Now when you open it, it opens on a playing reel. What happened to "Dont be evil" eh, @Google?
Hey @Google, @Android 16 is a real visual downgrade in comparison to 15. Everything looks less refined and chunkier, and you've moved buttons to new locations for no good reason. Please return the aesthetics to what they were before. #pixel#Android#android16
@JamesJonesHere @Acyn ...However, America only had 2.8 times as many civilian-owned guns as Canada. The numbers have grown since then too. It's not just the presence of guns. America has been a fear driven, risk-taking, extremist culture since the pilgrim fathers arrived.
@JamesJonesHere @Acyn The volume of guns is definitely part of the problem, but there's more to it. The 2007 Small Arms Survey by the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva showed that, in 2007, America had 5.8 times as many gun murders per capita as Canada...
Listening to @MonicaLewinsky interview @amandaknox, & Monica has a great idea. We should have "emotional urgent care centres" (like an ER for mental health) where people can get immediate support if they're suffering emotional stress and trauma. It'd save lives & reduce crime.
Just because Donald Trump acts goofy doesn’t mean his presidency wouldn’t be dangerous. And you don’t have to take my word for it. Lately, some of the people who know Trump the best have been saying in no uncertain terms that he should not be president again.
Any Ted Lasso Fans out there who would like to fill out a quick TL-related survey to help with some research into the nature of healthy relationships? #tedlasso mental health #relationships https://t.co/5w7aztjFOs
@blankcheckpod Just catching up on some older episodes. You mentioned John Paxton as the Osborn's butler. Being Bill Paxton's dad is a cover. He's actually former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott who, in his old age, travelled back in time to make movies.
@aarondicer Just because someone doesn't like something doesn't mean it's bad. This is a mistake snobby critics make. For example, they'll say action movies are bad because they only like things that are high cinematic art. Doesn't mean there's no such thing as a great action movie.
@RoadmanCycling In the words of Dr. Phil, “never compare your reality to someone else’s social mask…. “ . You never know what’s going on in other peoples lives. Love this cartoon that speaks to two different perspectives of the same situation
In summary:
(1) Family time is limited—cherish it.
(2) Friend time is limited—prioritize real ones.
(3) Partner time is significant—never settle.
(4) Children time is precious—be present.
(5) Coworker time is significant—find energy.
(6) Alone time is highest—love yourself.
One of the most sensible takes on ‘cancel culture’ I’ve seen. Sensible, honest, smart. I’m posting the video directly as Times Radio tweeted it with a clickbait and somewhat misleading headline that unintentionally confirmed his point. More of this please.
