Following the escalation between Israel and Gaza, Israeli forces struck the enclave's Indonesian hospital and an ambulance in front of Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza. The strikes killed one nurse, one ambulance driver, injured several and damaged an oxygen station.

Took a taxi tonight, and the driver absolutely insisted on giving me the journey for free, as it was his last ever job before retirement, and tradition is they don't charge for their first ever and last ever journey.

He began driving in 1965.

In the meantime, the patient needs urgent medical treatment for an overdose. But we can't give it to them against their will because they're not sectioned yet.

At one point the only option was to allow the patient to leave the hospital and then call the police.

Not that mad an idea, but it's the disposition that's the problem - let's say they find someone in a truly acute crisis requiring immediate intervention. It took me 12 hours to get a young woman into an acute psychiatric bed last weekend. And that's as a dr in A&E! https://t.co/zQbDxebQYH

Due to cost-cutting, no psychiatrists available to come to our A&E... despite there being a psych hospital on site. Had to wait 6hrs for first social worker to come from the council, then 2 psychiatrists from regional hospitals.
