This is misleading, this was not a Christian institute event and Callum gave no such support to the LGBTQ speaker. He was on a panel talking about sex education. Folks this is wrong by the Burke's and they should actually check the facts before posting such hurtful and misleading

An event took place tonight in Lisburn Co. Down on the subject of sex education. The event was MC’d by Callum Webster, Northern Ireland Officer for the Christian Institute.

The Christian Institute claims to exist “for the furtherance and promotion of the Christian religion.” The Christian Institute received almost £3.5 million in 2023, almost all of this from donations and legacies. Over 50% of this money was spent on salaries.

One of the main speakers at the event, introduced by Callum Webster, was Laoise De Brún. Laoise De Brún describes herself as a “passionate advocate for LGB (lesbian, gay & bisexual) rights”. She stated recently that “I’m not anti-trans in any way.” Laoise De Brún’s husband, Garret Hayes, is one of 12 trustees of the England branch of The Ireland Funds organisation. This organisation puts front and centre its support for LGBTQIA+. It has given thousands over the years to LGBT organisations such as BelongTo and ShoutOut - hard core promoters of the vilest ideologies.

How can the Christian Institute give its support to a promoter of LGBT such as Laoise De Brún? How can this organisation, which receives millions in legacies from Christians, support a “passionate advocate” of anti-christian lifestyles?

These questions must be answered.
