I strongly condemn the reported removal of billboards bearing my name and image by the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. If politically motivated, this is an abuse of administrative power and a disturbing display of intolerance towards legitimate political competition. In a democracy, no government should use state machinery to silence or intimidate opposing voices.

My name may be removed from a billboard, but my commitment to Kwara cannot be removed, nor can my aspiration to serve or the people’s right to choose their leaders. I urge the Governor to compete with ideas, programmes and performance not by suppressing the visibility of political opponents.

Kwara belongs to all of us. I will continue to engage the people openly and peacefully, undeterred by any attempt to diminish our message. You may remove a billboard, but you cannot remove an idea whose time has come.

While in Ilorin, I paid a familiarisation visit to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) State Secretariat in Kwara State, where I had the opportunity to meet with the leadership and members of the party.

During the visit, the State Chairman, Hon. Issa Adamu Bawa, formally unveiled me as the PDP candidate for Kwara Central Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 elections.

I thanked the party leadership and members for the warm reception and assured them of my commitment to working with everyone to strengthen our structures, deepen our engagement with the people, and build a united team capable of delivering victory for the PDP in 2027.
