YOU ARE A WOMAN, NOT A CHILD
I find it hilarious that grown women are still having endless conversations about whether they “bill men,” refuse to bill men, or whether everything they own was bought by them or by a man.
At some point, we should outgrow these conversations.
You don’t see men constantly gathering to debate whether they paid for everything themselves or whether a woman bought something for them. It’s simply not treated as a defining part of adulthood.
The whole “independent woman” label is just as odd to me. You’re an adult. Independence isn’t a personality trait or a special category; it’s the baseline expectation of adulthood. You don’t need to wear it as a badge of honour.
This constant infantilization of women, where ordinary adult responsibilities are framed as extraordinary achievements or entire identities, is exhausting. We should expect more of ourselves than making these conversations our defining discourse.
People who are constant with making stupid mistakes in their personal lives have one thing in common: they act on impulse. They feel too easily, act on it almost immediately, and react on the consequences before it even unravels. Little to no internal regulation.
Around here, we don’t do “happy wife, happy home.” We do “happy couple, happy home.”
The husband’s happiness matters too. We’re not inheriting the silence of our fathers.
Madame Celeste Amarilla,
I never understood this video all the days I've been seeing it on here up until now, maybe because I finally understand where she's coming from, truly an interesting point of view
Love should be the only reason to marry someone. Every other reason may be enough to make them your business partner, acquaintance, friend, neighbor, but it is not enough to make them your partner for life.
If your primary reason for marrying someone is money, status, immigration, family pressure, business interests, or convenience rather than love, then that relationship is better described by another label, not marriage. You’re unhappy because you’re married to someone who should have been your friend or business associate.
