Ralsei implies that they consciously chose the forms they take in the dark world (including gender), and flowers don’t have human sexes/genders, meaning they all “transitioned” to their genders.

@sonicsupastar__ Ah, I had just kind of assumed that this was transfem, bigender, or genderfluid Ralsei, since they’re all popular readings of their character now, with Ch5 laying the trans implications on so thick.

I’ll probably continue to HC them as bigen/genfluid in this AU if that’s fine

The only other choice is for Clover to hide somewhere, living the rest of their (probably short) life in isolation and fear. Clover doesn’t want that and Ceroba respects that.

@RalseiSpin I like it! Even if I do have a slight preference for she/her or she/they t-girl Ralsei over any/all genderfluid/bigender Ralsei.

Ultimately, though, I will be a very happy camper no matter which one becomes canon (because there is no way in hell Ralsei is canonically cis ATP).

@voidedorsumthin As I interpret it, the flowers don’t “naturally” embody the virtues that define them: they strive to embody them. They often fail to do so, but they never giving up trying — it, ironically, makes them feel more human than any fan-take I’ve seen on the fallen humans.
