Tunapoacha maadili ya kazi kwa kukosa uaminifu, kuiba, kudanganya, kughushi, tunapokuwa wabinafsi, kukosa upendo na kutojali, tunajiweka kaburini na tunanuka. Tunapochelewa Kanisani, likizo za muda wote, kutoshiriki Jumuiya, kutoshiriki Njia ya Msalaba, kuzembea kitubio na kutokukomunika Ekaristi, kusingizia hiki na kile tumekufa sie, tumo kaburini sasa ni siku 4... Tumuombe Mungu, kwa maombezi ya Bikira Maria Msaada wa Wakristo, atuletee Yesu nje ya hayo makaburi yetu kusudi kama alivyoita “LAZARO, NJOO HUKU NJE!” atuambie na sisi “NJOONI HUKU NJE..” tutatoka na sanda zetu kama Lazaro lakini tutakuwa wazima, atatufungua na kuturuhusu twende tukiwa huru.

Tukiwa na tumaini hili, tunapokaribia kuadhimisha fumbo la ukombozi wetu, tumruhusu Yesu aingie na tumpatie nafasi akae ndani mwetu kwa neno lake, na sakramenti zake, tujenge urafiki naye katika taabu na raha. Tuthamini maisha yetu na ya wengine, tuone uchungu pale tunapoona mwenzetu ananyimwa haki ya kuishi kwa namna yoyote ile na kumtetea. Tutumie vema muda uliobaki kabla ya Pasaka tumlilie Mungu kwa huzuni kuu, tuone uchungu wa dhambi zetu, atutakase na uovu wetu, ili tuweze kuisherehekea Pasaka kwa moyo safi.

Tunapokaribia Pasaka, Kanisa linatualika tuishi Kwaresma hii kwa matumaini. Yesu hakuepuka kaburi; aliingia humo ili kutufungulia njia ya uzima. Tukiungana naye, kama Mt. Fransisko wa Assisi, basi hata katika dunia iliyojaa mauti, tutakuwa mashahidi wa ufufuko na uzima. Amina🙏
