@SennySupreme im not very good at expressing my thoughts clearly, and I tend to speak in a chaotic way. I’d rather convey my ideas and show my imagination through the game itself
@SennySupreme the main idea, I guess, is to give form to things that usually disappear after waking up. Dreams can contain images and feelings that are almost impossible to explain properly with words, and a game feels like the best way to preserve and share them with others
Nice Vorpal Blade! We did make some pretty wicked merch. It was always a frustration of mine that more effort did not go into licensing and merch building for the Alice games. What merch (including the art books) was made - has now become crazy-priced collector items.
🔪Now That I Have Your Attention🔪
I am perfectly aware of the news related to EA being acquired. And a bunch of you (too many) have flooded my comments, DMs, etc - demanding that I "buy back" Alice from EA.
First, please stop 🛑
Second, please stop with the "buy back" stuff - there's this persistent and annoying idea that I sold "Alice" to EA. No. I was an employee at EA when I created Alice. As is the case in 99% of similar situations, employee inventions are automatically the property of the employer. I did not "sell" anything to EA. There is nothing to "buy back."
Third, I've stated many times that my work on the property is done. The Design Bible for "Alice: Asylum" is enough to guide a development team to make a new game. I am not needed nor do I want to be involved. I developed games for 30 years. Now, I'm raising my two kids and enjoying the massive (and relatively stress-free) success of @PlushieDreadful
Lastly, if the fans of the IP want a new game made, make noise in the direction of people who can actually make that happen (not me). Make clear that there are millions of people interested in a new game. Yelling at me "don't give up!" while simultaneously not working together as a fan base to make clear an overwhelming interest in the survival of the IP (to those who can actually do something about it) is... well, to butcher a Cheshire Cat quote: "Only the insane equate yelling at American with convincing EA." ☠️
PS: I truly appreciate the passion and desire of the Alice fans and community. It's wonderful to see the flame still burning - and brightly. And I wish you success in your mission! 🖤
