@kevinvdahlgren And this trash is constitutionally protected by the 9th circuit 🙃🙃. DONT THINK ABOUT CLEANING THAT UP YOU WILL BE IN VIOLATION OF THE 4th AMENDMENT!! 🙄🙄
@thekc23 @snakebuffet3 @sashaperigo We are aligned in our belief that more needs to be done to protect the vulnerable. But fighting clean up efforts is a sure fire way to hamstring your cause. Every encampment I see is a trash heap and health hazard.
@thekc23 @snakebuffet3 @sashaperigo Nice anecdotes and I am genuinely sorry for these people. But the fact is the demand for unskilled labor is high, mental health and addiction are contributing factors that are brushed aside. Rehabilitation is the solution - not entrenching tents cities forever.
@thekc23@sashaperigo At its core, this case is about the tools the city can use to address homelessness and its consequences (i.e. treatment). Treating tents as constitutionally protected ensures that the destitute will never rise from their current station. Everything to do w/ treatment.
