“The team, set up in 2022 by the Kremlin, was tasked with “natively promoting Russian narratives in unfriendly countries” — in other words, running a fake-news factory.
Its operatives work both online and offline. While use their network of bots to amplify photos of antisemitic graffiti on Parisian buildings (itself painted by Russian agents), others try to get their fake stories about Zelenskyy noticed and retweeted by Elon Musk and JD Vance.
The Russian Presidential Administration oversees a team of hundreds, including MGIMO alumni and Foreign Ministry staff who fabricate stories in multiple languages and pass them off as Western media reports.
Designers create deepfakes, while political strategists and professional propagandists use AI to identify each country’s most sensitive issues and make their disinformation as politically effective as possible.“

If you run a space company that sends remote sensing satellites to space, there is no bigger point of validation for your technology than having a Russian recon satellite burn a ton of fuel to match your orbit and follow you around.
Congratulations to the engineering team at ICEYE.
Another Russian ballistic missile attack came in several waves overnight, and once again, there was no early warning from our partners. They again targeted energy facilities and infrastructure, but a medical clinic, a school, a metro station, and ordinary residential buildings were also damaged. In total, the Russians launched 16 ballistic missiles in a deliberate attack on Kyiv and the Kyiv region. The Russians also launched more than 200 drones of various types, including jet-powered “shaheds,” with attacks spanning from the Kharkiv and Dnipro regions to the Volyn, Rivne, and Odesa regions. Sadly, there are casualties. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Those who were injured are receiving assistance. Overnight and this morning, Russia attacked energy facilities in the Vinnytsia, Volyn, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Kharkiv, Ternopil, Odesa, and Rivne regions. In this one night alone, more than 10 energy infrastructure facilities were damaged, and the lights went out for at least 550,000 families. Repair crews are working at the sites.
Ukraine never wanted this war, and we have welcomed literally EVERY attempt by our partners to bring this war to a dignified end. We have responded positively to EVERY ceasefire proposal. Russia's response, time and again, has been ballistic missiles, “shaheds,” and killings. Putin not only doesn't want to end this war – he doesn't even want to take any steps toward de-escalation. EVERY ONE of our partners has experienced this firsthand when they heard Russia's refusals. And it is crucial to call things what they are. To call the aggressor an aggressor and help Ukraine defend lives. When deliveries of missiles for Ukraine's air defense are blocked while Russia is granted relief or delays in sanctions, this is, unfortunately, a denial of reality on the part of our partners. The reality is that the war continues, and it continues solely because of Russian strikes and Russia's desire to drag this war out. I thank everyone who recognizes this reality and helps Ukraine!
PS I’ve met Putin many times and listened in on calls with him as well. I also speak Russian. Yes he is soft spoken, deliberate, and measured. So what? He’s still a killer. He still launched a barbaric invasion of Ukraine, that has produced tragic loss of life not seen on this scale in Europe since WWII.
"'Now, we have dangerous days ahead of the elections,' Zelenskyy said, referring to the Nov. 3 midterms in the US. 'My latest model was: We don’t target Russian diesel, you give us missiles for Patriot systems to protect our facilities. But they just want us to stop attacking diesel. And if we strike that, they will disconnect us from something.'
As relations between the US and Ukraine reached a new low, Zelenskyy laid out what he said were a series of unfriendly moves by Washington toward Kyiv. Those include the deliberate slowing of Starlink internet speeds, which are crucial for Ukrainian troops fighting Russia, and delaying already scarce deliveries of Patriot interceptors for ballistic missiles, which have become a nightmare for Ukrainian cities, he said Sunday in an interview with Bloomberg.
'I believe steps have been taken to convince Ukraine to capitulate,' Zelenskyy said while sitting in his office in Kyiv. 'I am not saying that this is the goal our partners are pursuing. I don’t want to think that our American partners believe the war' against Russia 'could be ended sooner at Ukraine’s expense. But that’s how it looks.'"

Since the American President announced the energy ceasefire a week ago, Russia has deliberately attacked Ukraine’s energy and oil and gas sectors 76 times. Last night alone, there were strikes on substations in the Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, and Odesa regions. Tens of thousands of families remain without power. Energy workers and repair crews are working virtually around the clock to restore electricity supply. Overnight, the Russians also struck residential buildings in our regions. As of now, 12 people have been reported injured, including two children. Two people have been killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones. This morning, there was a strike on an agricultural enterprise in Volyn. All necessary services are working at the site.
In total, over this past week, the Russians have attacked Ukraine with almost 2,700 attack drones, 1,700 aerial bombs, and 66 missiles, most of them ballistic. The main targets of these strikes are energy facilities – the Russians are trying to cause a blackout. And America should see that Russia is not taking any reciprocal steps in response to sanctions relief or agreements. On the contrary, they take every signal of an opportunity to make money as proof that their bet on war is paying off and they can keep fighting. It is because of this position of Russia’s that the war continues, not because Ukraine is rightfully defending itself. It is Russia that must face pressure for peace to have a chance. Thank you to everyone who understands this and helps.
"This year, however, Russia appears to be putting those plans into practice. On Tuesday night, Russian strikes hit three major power plants in the Kyiv region – Combined Heat and Power Plants 4 and 5, and the Trypillya Thermal Power Plant in the Kyiv region – as well as a major electrical substation that transfers electricity from two of the country’s main nuclear power plants to the capital. Those, along with other substations that make up the “Kyiv energy ring” that helps bring electricity from across the country to the capital, have all been targets of a Russian barrage that, if it succeeds, could threaten a humanitarian catastrophe in a city of 3 million people...
Economic Pravda, a leading Ukrainian news site that covers business, reported on Thursday that the three major power plants in Kyiv no longer have the ability to generate electricity, leaving the city more reliant on electricity brought from elsewhere in the country (the government generally does not confirm specific damage to critical infrastructure). The outlets’ experts predicted that, given a moderate winter and quick repairs of damaged substations, Kyiv residents could face up to eight hours of blackouts a day. Its worst case scenario of frigid temperatures and frequent attacks would leave Kyiv in the dark for up to 20 hours a day." @Andrew__Roth

Breaking News: President Trump signed an executive order to exempt Russia from new sanctions legislation that Congress passed last month. https://t.co/8KuQ5fuOjq
EXCLUSIVE: Elon Musk approached Donald Trump with the idea of slowing down Starlink in Ukraine, The Telegraph can reveal.
The billionaire tech entrepreneur approached the US president with the proposal to introduce speed limits on the system, which hampered Ukraine’s drone defences, according to four sources familiar with the discussions.

Trump blaming the US' Tomahawk shortage on Ukraine is utterly, utterly ridiculous for one very simple reason; The US hasn't given Ukraine any Tomahawks.
I sound like a broken record but nobody in Europe should be under any illusions that Trump and the US can be trusted.
This is who Trump is supporting.
Russia just attacked a supermarket in Odessa. Ukraine filled with innocent civilians.
Why are we supporting the bad guys?
Zelenskyy to @FT on the Trump-Putin relationship:
President Trump is such a man– he speaks about it, openly and loudly that he loves such people and that he respects such people. Because for him ... people who can be leaders 20 years, 30 years, 40 years, it means they're very strong, because they can hold the power."

I want to remind that russian demands are for Ukraine to limit the size of its military, withdraw from the land russia can't take by force for the past 5 years, and ban on weapon development in Ukraine. And no security guarantees to Ukraine.
This would open a pathway to full occupation of Ukraine all, terror and death to Ukrainian population, erasing of the culture and language.
An update from Serhii Sternenko - this in practice disables Starlink-based remote control for any fixed-wing drones + any Starlink use on drone interceptors.
That is an extremely irresponsible action by Elon, SpaceX, and the US government!
