@RT_India_news This is a bad faith interpretation of the point they were trying to make: “they do a good job conserving wildlife *despite* being poorer”.
And India is indeed financially poorer in comparison to the West.

What everyone suspected has now been established: the Omani pilot for FlyDubai was attempting a 9/11 style attack inside of Israel.

I shudder to think of the suffering, grief and geopolitical consequences had he succeeded. The world would be a very different place today.

This is a wake up call to all the nations harboring radical Islamists — and there are many, especially in the West: get your act together! Do a better job of vetting everyone getting near a commercial airplane — from pilots to crew to caterers to maintenance staff. The world may not be this lucky and blessed if there is a next time.

[Aviation Reporter @TripppleSeven7]

Just look at this Axe which the Co-Pilot used to attack the Captain in the Fly Dubai incident. It’s a heavy-duty emergency axe with a sharp cutting edge, built to break through tough aircraft materials when normal access is blocked. It looks and is like a serious piece of equipment. In the wrong hands, a tool with this kind of weight and cutting edge could cause devastating injuries.
And for your information, this tool is a must to have inside an aircraft. Aviation regulations require aircraft with more than 19 passenger seats to carry emergency equipment such as a crash axe. An emergency tool designed to help save lives suddenly became part of an attack inside Fly Dubai cockpit!

The UAE Attorney-General confirmed that the co-pilot attacked Captain Smit Machchhar with the aircraft’s crash axe inside the cockpit before attempting to take control of the aircraft.
The axe is for an A320 corkpit, not the exact one which was used.

𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲:

The co-pilot volunteered to be arrested and interrogated.

The captain volunteered to be stabbed.

Flightradar24 recorded a fake dive in real time.

ADS-B Exchange independently recorded the exact same fake dive.

Saudi ATC and radar logs recorded a fake emergency and landing.

UAE ATC records logged the departure of a flight supposedly involved in an incident that never happened.

Israeli ATC records logged the expected arrival of that same flight.

The flight data recorder recorded fake altitude and control inputs.

The cockpit voice recorder somehow matched the fake story too.

Saudi aviation authorities agreed to write a preliminary assessment confirming a fake incident.

UAE investigators agreed to open a real investigation into a staged event.

Roughly 174 passengers agreed to fake an emergency and film it from every angle.

Passengers agreed to storm the cockpit on cue and then give interviews afterward.

Tabuk Airport and Saudi air traffic control agreed to handle a fake emergency landing.

Saudi medical staff agreed to treat fake injuries and keep the secret.

Israeli officials agreed to publicly discuss an incident they knew was fake.

Ben Gurion Airport staff and ambulances agreed to wait for a plane that was never really in danger.

News outlets independently verified fake passenger videos and all somehow reached the same conclusion.

Passenger videos and photos from multiple phones all showed the same fake blood and chaos.

The aircraft itself was physically damaged as part of the fake story.

Saudi hospital records documented injuries from an attack that supposedly never happened.

Custody and transfer records were created to document the pilots being moved to the UAE.

Saudi authorities put the incident in writing in their preliminary assessment.

Multiple governments and organizations issued matching official statements.

Independent news organizations all separately reported the same fake event.

The FlyDubai flight crew agreed to fake the entire incident.

The cabin crew agreed to act terrified for the whole flight.

FlyDubai management agreed to issue statements about an incident they knew was fake.

So the theory requires hundreds of passengers, airline employees, medical staff, investigators, three countries’ aviation systems, flight-tracking services, journalists, physical aircraft damage, hospital records, radar data, and official documents to all be coordinated perfectly without anyone exposing it.

The conspiracy theories around the flydubai attack are a lesson in how antisemitism works.

Start with the conclusion: the Jews are guilty. Then work backwards.

A plane full of Israelis is nearly brought down? It must have been staged by Israel.

The passengers fight back and save themselves? They must have been in on it.

The facts don’t fit the theory? That only proves how elaborate the conspiracy really is.

This is the insanity of antisemitism. It doesn’t need evidence because it is designed to explain away evidence. Jews can be victims and somehow emerge as perpetrators. They can be attacked and somehow be blamed for the attack.

[Zeba Zoariah @ZZoariah]

I am Muslim, and I think we have been discussing Islamist radicalisation far too comfortably.

We wait for a man to pick up a knife, plant a bomb or open fire. Then suddenly everyone wants to know what radicalised him?

But that is the last chapter.

The story usually begins much earlier. A sense of victimhood is repeated until it becomes identity. A preacher gives that anger religious language. Someone tells a young man that humiliation is not political anymore, it is sacred. Slowly, the world becomes “us” and “them”. By the time violence appears, the argument inside his head may already be over.

This pattern did not disappear with Al-Qaeda. ISIS simply learnt to package it better. Telegram replaced the cassette. Short videos replaced long sermons. The recruiter no longer needs a training camp if he can enter your phone.

And this is the uncomfortable part for Muslims.

No Muslim should be made to apologise for a crime committed by another Muslim. That is absurd.

But we cannot simultaneously say extremists have “nothing to do with Islam” or “terrorism has no religion” and then refuse to challenge them when they use Islamic texts, Islamic history and Islamic vocabulary to recruit.

Governments can arrest terrorists.

Only Muslims can make the radical preacher irrelevant inside a Muslim home.

That fight has been postponed for too long.

The Young Turks Cenk Uygur asks if the 9/11 style plot - FlyDubai hijacking - was a 'false flag' and declares that it cannot be a terrorist act:

"there's a couple of reasons why I know for sure that it wasn't terrorism. Why wouldn't you crash it into Israel?
If it was terrorism, the Israelis would have said there was terrorism. Oh my God, we were all going to die, right? No, they wouldn't be subtle about it."

"the only interesting question left is was it a false flag or not?"

*Pilot screams 'Allahu Akbar' before attacking copilot with an axe*
TYT 'How dare you call this terrorism'
Might as well call him the 'mostly peaceful pilot'

[Baba Banaras™ @RealBababanaras]

The real identity of the Omani terrorist pilot linked to the FlyDubai hijacking attempt has been revealed.

His name is Mohammed Hamam Al-Hammami. He was fired by Oman Air in 2024–2025 for regularly browsing extremist websites and expressing support for the Islamic State, jihad, and anti-non-Muslim sentiments during conversations with colleagues. He was hired by FlyDubai without a background check. His mother is of Syrian origin.

He visited Pakistan in August 2026 and Turkey in May 2026.

His diary reportedly contains praise for several terrorists, including Osama bin Laden, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, and Maulana Masood Azhar.

It is a truly shocking incident that FlyDubai hired a terrorist as one of its pilots.

Incidents like these make passengers feel extremely unsafe, and one should not be surprised if, in the future, people start asking about a pilot's religion before flying.
