If I considered you a friend and you hid something as important as a wedding or engagement from me, I’ll only assume that you think of me a witch or an enemy of your progress and I’ll no longer regard you as friend because I’m none of those things.
If I tell my daughter to jump, the only thing that would stop her is the natural fear of heights. She will have no doubts that I will catch. She believes I am Superman, and I will always be there for her.
One of my biggest fears right now is not to fail her. I don't want her to stop seeing me as Superman. I don't want to disappoint her.
I can’t focus. That video hasn’t left my mind all day.
That boy saw death coming and kept begging, pleading with someone who is meant to protect him to spare his life.
The officer wasn’t even in uniform. He picked up a rifle and still went through with it. There were moments to stop (the rifle didn't work after multiple trials), to rethink, to choose differently… but he didn’t.
It’s beyond cruel. Insanity!
Terrible. Terrible people.
there’s a place in 1 samuel 10 where saul meets a company of prophets and the spirit of god comes upon him and he prophesies with them. not sure he planned it. he wasn’t trained for it. but proximity to people who carried something genuine was enough to activate what was already inside him.
that is what shared anointing does. it doesn’t create something from nothing. it draws out what was always there.
every person who has stood in a room where dunsin oyekan and theophilus sunday were both present knows this feeling.
something gets drawn out of you, things you didn’t know were buried, grief you hadn’t processed, worship you hadn’t offered, surrender you’d been holding back.
and the reason is simple. these are two men who have paid a price in the secret place.
psalm 84:6 talks about those who passing through the valley of baca make it a well. baca means weeping, it means you went through something that could have broken you and instead of running from it you let it become a source.
both dunsin and theophilus carry that quality, their worship is not theoretical, it is testimonial.
it is the sound of people who have been through something and chose God on the other side of it.
this is not just hearing music. you’re hearing two wells overflow at the same time. and for a generation that is deeply thirsty and often too proud to admit it,
this sound is not just beautiful, it is medicine, it is the thing isaiah 55 is describing when it says “come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters.”
dunsin and theophilus together are that invitation made sonic.
the music business will never fully understand what they’ve built because it was never built for the music business. it was built for the kingdom. and the kingdom has a way of taking what was meant for eternity and making it impact time.
i have a theory about God i talk about all the time
He knows He can’t reach everyone through the same methods, so He meets you in a way you can understand
if you’re naturally funny, He puts you in situations that, in hindsight, are so absurd you can’t help but laugh
if you’re analytical, He shows up as patterns. coincidences that line up too cleanly to ignore
if you’re emotional, He reaches you through love and loss. through people who break you open and show you what mattered
if you’re a skeptic, He lives in the questions that won’t leave you alone
God isn’t broadcasting on one frequency and blaming people for not tuning in
He’s speaking the language you already understand
and if you ever stop long enough to listen, you realize He’s been talking to you the entire time
