Three things can be true:

1. Baseball needs a salary floor and a salary cap

2. Cheap owners are ruining the sport

3. The Dodgers exploitation of deferred payments has ruined the sport

Baseball moving forward needs to figure out a fine line between punishing cheap owners and also making the sport more competitive from top to bottom. Every other major sports league in America has a salary cap, and it’s time for MLB to implement one as well
