Repeated power cuts in Borbari, GUWAHATI for the past 2 days, even around midnight and 5 AM, are causing serious sleep loss. In this unbearable summer heat, the situation is becoming extremely difficult. Please resolve this urgently.
Unaccounted? Unaccounted.. how the hell do 54000 crore goes unaccounted and its a mere CAG report.
I repeat, 54000 crore unaccounted?
There's a crore after a thousand.
An Open Letter to the Jantar Mantar protestors:
My dear young friends,
I address you today not as a politician or an MP, but as someone deeply troubled by what is happening to your generation of young Indians.
This is personal for me. I was born to a middle-class family: my father was a salaried newspaper employee, my mother a homemaker, with three children to educate on one income. For a family like ours, merit was not a slogan. Scholarships, fair examinations, honest results — these were the only way one salary could carry three children's dreams.
I went to school in Mumbai and Kolkata, to college here in Delhi, topped the University and earned admission into IIM — and chose instead to follow my passion for international affairs, in America, on a scholarship. Nothing was inherited; everything was earned by hard work and yes, Exams.
So I know that a fair, merit-based system is the only ladder for young people from lower and middle-income families to climb up. When that ladder is broken — papers leaked, examinations cancelled, trust destroyed — the children of the rich and powerful do not suffer. They have other ladders. It is your dreams, and your families' sacrifices (and tragically, in some homes, young lives themselves) that are betrayed.
To the young people gathered at Jantar Mantar, and those raising your voices peacefully across India: this country hears you. Your anger is not indiscipline — it is the anguish of a generation that did everything right and was still betrayed . You are not alone.
And to the millions of young Indians watching quietly: your generation is not a problem to be managed. You are the answer to India's future. Do not lose hope. This ladder will be rebuilt — by you, and by every Indian who stands with you.
To Shri Sonam Wangchuk-ji, my heartfelt appeal: please end your fast. You have awakened the conscience of the nation; that is what a fast is meant to do. India needs your voice for the long road ahead.
With Parliament in session again from Monday, we will have an opportunity to raise the students’ issues in the highest forum of our democracy. That’s where the problem should be addressed, not by fasting unto death. Please heed my plea.
And finally, to the Government: I respectfully urge you to reach out and engage in the dialogue our democracy owes its young citizens. That is not weakness; that is statesmanship.
This is Amaira's room, the Class 4 student who died by suicide at Jaipur's Neerja Modi School, due to classmates bullying and a teacher's apathy.
Imagine the agonizing plight of her parents. Every morning, they wake up to a quiet house, forced to step into an empty bedroom that still smells like their daughter, surrounded by her toys, books, and clothes. They are trapped in a nightmare where they must live with this crushing pain every single day, weeping into the silence with absolutely no relief. It cuts straight through your heart. No child, no parents deserve this.
Parents, save yourself from this situation: do not leave your child's safety and happiness to schools, society or the state. Be unapologetically protective. Look at every angle, anticipate every danger. Build a bond so solid that they know they can tell you anything without fear of judgment. Teach them to recognize when something is wrong, empower them to speak up and then, most importantly, handle the situation, because not handling a child's current problems to their expectations from you builds a wall that stops them from sharing future ones.
This girl is apparently a doctor, yet she is publicly mocking a cadaver.
A cadaver is not a prop, or an object for cheap humour. It is a human being who chose to donate their body for medical education and scientific advancement after death.
When students enter medical college and step into the dissection hall, they take a cadaveric oath, a solemn pledge that serves as a tribute to body donors. The cadaver is regarded as the student's "first teacher" to foster empathy, ethics, gratitude, and respect for human dignity.
During my first year of MBBS, our cadaver was a retired Brigadier. We treated him with dignity because we understood that we were learning from a person who had made a conscious, and rare in Indian society, decision for the benefit of future patients and future doctors.
Mocking a cadaver and making lewd remarks about the body's private parts is not edgy, funny, or bold. It reflects a complete failure to understand one of the most basic ethical principles taught in medicine: respect for human dignity, even after death.
It may or may not attract liability under the BNS, but it is unquestionably conduct that falls far below the ethical standards expected of a medical professional.
The @NMC_IND should take cognizance of this matter and ensure that such behaviour has consequences.
There was also a boy on the same show who made derogatory remarks about a girl who was apparently his date, and he is rightly facing the consequences of his actions. This girl should be held to the same standard.
I was thinking there was a US hand behind this. Now with Turkey, Pak, Bloomberg, FT, leftists, Soros suckers and all traditional GLISCO-DS media and parties behind this new movement, I am beginning to think both are together hitting India.
This shows nothing but the true sovereignty in which India has acted. All of them do not like India acting in its own interests. They are joining hands to try force a regime change.
So 100% everyone needs to back the govt on this one to keep India stable now and pull through the tough geopolitical & economic climate created by multiple external factors.
My message for any Gen-z or whoever thinks anarchy and political instability is good: Look around India - Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives etc - everyone is ruined economically now after regime changes. India is the one supporting them.
If you have problems with the govt, go vote in elections and vote out whoever is non-performing. Don't let foreign forces use you to meddle in India. Nothing good ever comes out of it.
Scenes from Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kurnool, and elsewhere during the alleged celebrations following RCB's IPL triumph.
A private club owned by private businesses wins a domestic trophy, and you resort to vandalism, violence, and public disorder.
Why are we always so eager to adopt the West's worst habits and so reluctant to emulate its best practices?
First the NEET paper leak affecting 22 lakh students.
Then CBSE Class 12 students receiving unexpectedly low marks from a broken OSM system - many losing their college eligibility.
Now lakhs of CBSE Class 9 students suddenly asked to learn a new language from July 1, with no teachers, no textbooks, and Class 6 books being handed to 14-year-olds as a “transitional” fix.
Three exams. Three age groups. One Minister.
Dharmendra Pradhan ji has not failed once. He has failed every single age group of India’s students at once.
Every announcement plunges children deeper into uncertainty. Every failure goes unpunished. The Education Ministry has become a department of disasters.
Prime Minister Modi ji - can you at least apologise to the lakhs of children whose futures you and your Minister have destroyed?

The @NASAArtemis crew captured this view of the Moon eclipsing the Sun yesterday. The three "stars" to the lower right of the Moon are actually planets. The middle one has a slightly red tint.
That's Mars.
Hello, Moon. It’s great to be back.
Here’s a taste of what the Artemis II astronauts photographed during their flight around the Moon. Check out more photos from the mission: https://t.co/rzM1P0QbOl
