Mike Sullivan and Nancy Jalowiecki’s love story begins with grief.

The couple met at a Pennsylvania grief camp, where they each brought their daughters in 2019, after the deaths of their respective spouses, Maria and Ed. There, Mike’s daughter Molly and Nancy’s daughter Nava became fast friends — which led to Mike and Nancy falling in love and helping each other navigate loss: “I was still here for a purpose.”
